Mel's technique challenge this time is "Thumping Fathers Day". What! I have to admit I didn't know what in the world this meant. So I to jump onto Sptiltcoast Stampers to find out. I discovered that it is a technique where you "thump" two or more markers onto the stamp to achieve a very interesting look. I also discovered I did know of this technique, I just didn't know that it was called Thumping. I really love thumping because you get a different look every time. I thumped this poor bird six times and got six different looks.
I have thumped the poor bird with four colours, the background leaves with two colours and I even thumped the words. I have inked around all the edgers with a dauber for a soft old world look, then added a bit of paper piercing and a jumbo brad with ribbon. Gotta have ribbon.
Close up.
