I paper pieced her clothes & bag, gave her a party hat, cupcake & put pressies in her bag. Finished it off with a big scallop flower. She even looks a bit like Leanne. ;)

Sunday Scrap.

Hi hope your all enjoying the long weekend, yes I know today is Monday not Sunday. hee hee I am starting a new section on my blog called Sunday Scrap and I can't wait until next Sunday to start so I'm starting today. But in the future I will post on Sundays. It all came about when I started sorting through my huge mountain of photo's and realized how many of these I wanted to scrap and realized how long it would take to scrap them all. So by starting Sunday Scrap I am committing myself to scrap at least one page a week. So by the end of the year I should have at least 35 pagers scraped, but hopefully at lot more. Well that's the plan anyway. :)
.
I have worked out that the fasted way to scrap is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the Stampin' Up! Catalogue. Why not, that's what it's for, to give us ideas on how to use the fantastic stamp sets & products and to inspire us.
.
Your welcome to play along too. Just check my blog each Sunday to see which page I have posted then when you have made your page, inspired from the case page (you have one week) then leave a comment in the Sunday Scrap post with a link to where your page is or you can email it to me at stampin.with.leah@live.com.au and I will post it on my blog for everyone to see. You can adapt your page anyway you like, different colours, different stamp set etc, just have fun and hopefully this will help you get the photo's you want to scrap under control too.
.
So with that said here is my first case from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue page 29 using the Fox & Friends stamp set. When I saw this page I knew I was going to case it, I had all the right products and even a cute little boy called Zach.
This page was very fast to make and with hardly any accessories used at all. Gotta love that!

Recipe
Stamps: Fox & Friends, Defining Alphabet
Card: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Certainly Celery
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, More Mustard
Punches: Corner rounder
Accessories: silver brads

Enjoy your Scrappin'

Thank you Julie.

I had a great day Scrappin' yesterday, 4 pagers in one day, that's a record for me. I had been sorting out my mountain of photo's during the week , now that was a huge job. So I now a have a box of photo's I want to scrap. I bet I'm not the only one. And with having my new alphabet dies I had plenty of motivation. I haven't taken photo's yet but I will start to post them in the next day or so.

I have been meaning to get this gorgeous DVD cover up here to show you for a while now. This was made for me by my good friend Julie . She is so talented and a whizz on the computer. Julie had also made a DVD with photo's from the last Regionals with music. I am very impressed with this as I am hopeless on the computer. :) And have no idea how to do things like this.

Thank you so much Julie.

Just Add Ink # 14

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is Just Add Vintage. Although I love Vintage style cards &  scrapin', I'm not so great at it.  I recently made this photo frame and I think it falls under the Vintage category. It's an 8 x 8 page made to look like a photo frame. The photo is of my Grand parents on their wedding day.
Just head over to Just Add Ink to have a look at the fabulous creations made by the Design Team and the other entries.

Excitement...

I'm so excited, I received the Launch Party orders yesterday, I had orderd the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet set of Sizzlits Dies and wow, I am so  impressed with the storage box they come in that I have to show you.
On the inside there is even more space for another 8 or more dies depending on the size of the die.So I can keep all of my Sizzlits dies together. Each die has a lable at the top with which letters or numbers are on it, making it quick & easy to find the one I need. Love it. Love it. Love it.

Using these Alphabet dies in the Big Shot  I can quickly make titles for any scrap page or card. I can't wait to have a play. :)

Party Cake.

My post tonight is a bit late, I had to watch "So you think you can Dance". Way to go Robbie! Love that show.

So you can't have a party without a cake and this is the cake I made for the Launch Party. Pale Plum, Rich Razzelberry & Soft Suede. Yummy colour combination. Using the flowers from the Vintage Vogue stamp set. I have always wanted to make one of these ever since I saw Debbie's Christmas cake back in December 2008. You can check it out at Hubby"s Headache here. And then in 2009 she made a very yummy looking fruit cake see here. Thank you for your inspiration Debbie.

Everyone that attended the Launch Party got to take a slice of cake home, full of goodies as a thank you. Thank you I hope you all enjoy your cake.

Launch Party.

We had a great time at the Autumn-Winter Launch Party on Saturday. Everyone had a good play with the Big Shot and loved the cards we made. Congradulations to the door prize winners, Maree, Leanne, Josie & Shelley. Yep, Shelley won the last prize and I promise you it wasn't rigged. :) Have fun with your prizes. A big thanks to Tereesa & Christine for your help & support.

Here are the cards we made, Tote-ally Tess stamp set coloured with blender pens, the greeting is punched out with the oval & scallop oval punches, layered on the Soft Suede card base that was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. A very fun card.

Then we made this lovely bird card using my new favorite punch the Extra Large Two-Step Bird with the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the Top Note die with the Big Shot. This card was a big hit.

If you didn't attened the Launch Party but love these cards I'm happy to do a Launch Party workshop for you at your home. Just contact me stampin.with.leah@live.com.au to book.

I would like to wish Leanne a very Happy Birthday today. I hope your having lovely day.

Baby talk.

Here he is, my new nephew just 5hrs old in this photo. Isn't he cute! I know some of you have been waiting for me to post the card I made for him & his Mum & Dad but I'm sorry to tell you I forgot to take a photo of it.... But I did make a set of baby thank you cards for a baby shower gift  much the same. The only difference is my nephew's card was made in Baja Brezze. My friend is having a baby girl so her thank you cards are made in Pinks & Pumpkin. Ok here are some pic's for you.
I made her a set of 20 baby thank you cards with matching envelopes all in a cute gift bag. Using the Fox & Friends stamp set in the Autumn-Winter Mini. This set is so cute.

The DSP is Sweet Always and I've used the scallop edge punch, scallop circle punch & 1 3/8" circle punch.

Also used white gel pen, brads and Polka Dot background stamp.
I'm off to do a few last minute things before the Launch Party tomorrow, exciting. If your coming I'll see you then.

Medallion - Emboss Resist.

Hi, hope your all having a great weekend. My Internet is on go slow again today so it's taking me forever to do this post. I've had lots going on with my new baby nephew being born and my sister in-law and her children staying with us. It's so great that they are here, we don't get to see them very much as they live so far away.
We had great fun on Friday night with the Passion 4 Paper girls coming over to have a play with the new toys/products in the Autumn-Winter Mini. It's always great to get together with the girls. Thanks Christine for making us Susi, so yummy. And thank you to Julie for the fantastic DVD you made for us, the DVD cover is just gorgeous. I'll show you next time.
But now I have a card to show you, that we made at Amanda's yesterday. Using the new Medallion stamp. I think this is my favorite stamp in the Autumn-Winter mini and the new wheel Very Vintage. We used the emboss resist technique where we wheeled across the whisper white card then clear embossed the Medallion over the top, then using the brayer covered the whole card with Rich Razzelberry ink. (one of the new colours) Then wiped off the extra ink with a tissue. allowing the Very Vintage pattern to show through. Very cool! We finished the card off with coordinating Rich Razzelberry ribbon, silver brads and used the Big Shot with the Sizzlits 4-pack dies for the greeting.
Here is a close up.

Some of the girls made their card in Melon Mambo another new colour which looked just as stunning.

Recipe
Stamps: Medallion, Very Vintage wheel, Short & Sweet/Warm Words
Card: Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Rich Razzelberry
Tools: Big Shot, Sizzlits 4 pack dies, brayer, heat tool
Punch: oval
Accessories: clear embossing powder, buddy, Rich Razzelberry ribbon, silver brads, dimenionals

I had seen this very cute backpack around on blogs and Splitcoast a while ago and loved it so much that when Alyssa's Birthday came around it was the perfect opportunity to make one. The little cupcakes and flowers are from the Short & Sweet stamp set. I put her pressie inside and her card in the front pocket. Click here for instructions for the back pack over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Alyssa love it too, and being very creative she made one herself. ( Well done Alyssa and I hope you had a fantastic birthday.)

Hope your all having a great Easter and enjoying the long weekend. Here is an Easter treat I made for some friends. I saw these on i-STAMP i-PICK week 71, made by Marelle Taylor and as I just happened to have a few of these jars around I thought I would make some. Aren't they too cute.

And here is an Easter card we received from Peta Jane & Maree. Peta Jane did a great job of making this bunny, it's even holding a carrot. Thank you.

Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue Out Now.

It's here, the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. This catalogue is bigger and better than any yet. With so many fabulous new products.
The Sizzix Big Shot, after playing with it for few weeks I have to say it is worth every cent, so easy to use with great results.
The new Clear Mount Rubber Stamps are not at all what I thought they would be, they are so much better. Stampin' Up! has gone to great lengths to maintain the same high quality rubber and foam we come to expect from their stamps, that magically stay on the clear blocks enabling us to see exactly where we're stamping. Cleaning is a breeze with the Stampin' Scrub, then just peel the stamp off the block and place it in it's slimline storage case, saving a heap of space. I love them and this coming from a girl who's always used wood blocks. :) Don't worry the wood block stamps are staying so we can have the choice.
New Punch Style, you know how addicted to punches I am.... well these new punches are sooo easy to use, with a sleeker body to save storage space, and with the introduction of a new 2 step punch you'll love as much as I do.
And there's more, three new yummy colours and gorgeous new stamps sets, Designer Series Paper and some favorites from the Summer Mini are back, the 1 3/4" circle punch, the sweet treat cups (yeh) and the Circle Scissor Plus.

If you would like to have a play with these new products/toys join us at the Launch Party on Saturday 17th April 1.00pm at my place Calamvale. Please contact me to book your seat. email: stampin.with.leah@live.com.au We'll have Make & Takes, prizes, afternoon tea & lots of fun. Can't make it? Contact me to book your own workshop where I will come to you.
I can't wait to show you what I've been making.
Check back soon for the winner of the Colour Coach Challenge.
