Cute Scrapbook Page.

Good Morning, today's project is a very cute Scrapbook Page. I love this photo of my daughter when she was two and so cute which is why I titled this page "cuteness".

Using the Gingham Garden DSP, it's so bright and fun and just right for this project.

With a cluster of hearts from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and a cluster of flowers with the "You make me Happy" sentiment from the Hello Lovely stamp set. Did you notice the Melon Mambo flowers? I used the Simply Pressed Clay and molds to make these, so fun. I'm really loving the Banner trend right now and using the Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits dies makes for a quick and easy banner. Added a bit of Washi Tape here and there just because it looks great, I am fast becoming addicted to Washi Tape.

Have a great day.

Christmas Snowman Telescopic Card.

I had seen a few of these Snowman cards around on the web and just had to make one. I had never made a
Telescopic card before and I discovered it is very easy and really fun.
It opens up to a full snowman, so cute and can be used as a Christmas decoration as well a card. The Circle Collections Framelits dies made cutting all those circles easy. Stamps sets are Snowflake Soiree and Merry Little Christmas.
His hat is made from the Square Framelits dies and Corner Rounder punch finished with silver ribbon, button and bakers twine.
Have a great day.

JAI #183 Mosaic Madness Christmas.

I'm playing along with the challenge at Just Add Ink this week and it a sketch challenge from Tina. Here's the sketch.

And here's my card.
Using the Mosaic Madness stamp set, I love how this set can be used for Christmas cards as well as many other occasions, and the Joy to the World stamp set in Real Red and Crumb Cake. To finish off I added a few rhinestones and spritzing. I now have another Christmas card to put in the box, hopefully I'll have enough when it comes to send them out in December.

Swallowtail by Tereesa.

Guest Artist Tereesa Coxen. I caught up with my good friend Tereesa recently who has been playing with the beautiful Swallowtail stamp and kindly allowed me to share her gorgeous cards with you all.
I love how the butterfly seems to be flying off the card and all the glitter.
For this card Tereesa stamped the butterfly on vellum and used a scoring tool (i think) to push parts of the butterfly up giving it great dimension.
This last card is stunning with the White and Melon Mambo embossing powder.

Thank you so much Tereesa for sharing your beautiful creative cards with us.

Christmas Card Chalk Board Technique.

Two Challenges on one card, I don't do this very often but this week I wan't to join in the Challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations 88/13 which is to use Washi Tape and as I'm just starting to learn ways to use it I didn't know where to begin. So I started with a sketch from Seize the Sketch #4.
The Washi Tape is the red spotty scallop band across the bottom of the card. I just placed the Washi Tape on strip of white card and cut it out with the scallop Edgelite die. Iv'e used the Joy to the World stamp set and the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set. I'm so glad Stampin' Up! decided to keep this set, it's not in the Holiday Catalogue but it has been carried over from the last Catalogue so it's still available. Yay!
I stamped the ornament with the Gold Metallic Encore ink, really like how it looks.
Here's the sketch I used from Seize the Sketch I  changed it a bit in making my card horizontal. To play along with this sketch click here. To join in the fun at Sunny Challenges & Creations click here. I can't wait to see what everyone else does with the Washi Tape.

Did you notice I used the Chalk board technique for this card? Just in case you didn't know I love this technique!

Case - Ink Blowing Technique.

Hi, last week I found a really cool technique on Printrest by Debbie at Debbie's Designs  that I just had to try, Ink Blowing. This is so fun, I'm sure my kids have done this at school in the past. Basically it's just using a straw to blow ink around the card to make amazing backgrounds.
As Debbie suggests I used watercolour paper putting a drop of each colour from the re-inker onto the paper then just blow with a straw. I did try using basic card but the ink soaks in very quickly making it hard to spread when you blow.
I've used Strawberry Slush and Wisteria Wonder ink refills, as you can see the ink dries really dark. Stamp set is Perfectly You (Hostess) in the new Holiday Catalogue cut out with Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits.

This is really fun for little kids too.  Thank you Debbie for your inspiration. You can check out Debbie's Designs here.

Sun Burst Card.

It's Friday already, this week is going really fast and having my little man home sick slows me down a bit. But I do love all the extra cuddles I get when his sick. So today's card is one I pulled out of the file, it's been sitting waiting for me to post and today is the day.
Another Sun Burst card using the new colour Crisp Cantaloupe with the Chalk Talk stamp set. The "For You" has been heat embossed with white embossing powder. Added a bit of Ruffled ribbon and Rhinestones to finish off. I might give this card to my Sister in-law, it's birthday today.

Have a great day.
