Easy Scrap Page - Happy.

This Scrap Page was very easy to make and came together quite quickly. Just using scraps and bits & pieces.  We don't always need to use our fancy tools, I love the simplicity of this page.
I know it's not a great photo but it does looks fantastic. It's hard to go wrong with such a gorgeous little girl as the main focus.
Left over strips of Venetian Romance DSP placed under the photo. A cluster of odd flowers, left over Crochet Trim and twine, bits and pieces.
The greeting "You can never have too much Happy" from the Yippee-Skippy stamp set, is perfect for this page. Every time I look at this page I smile, it makes me happy.  A bit of spritzing and a scattering of sequin's and pearls helps to fill up the page with out  crowding.

Sunny Challengers 056/12

This week I am very excited to again be a guest designer for Sunny Challengers & Creations. This weeks challenge is a great sketch by Gwen with an extra challenge of making a 10cm x 10cm card. I can say that this was quite a challenge for me working on a card small. But I think it turned out pretty good.

The colours are Soft Suede, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla. The stamps sets used are Delicate Doilies, Rue Des Fleurs (thanks) and the DSP is Attic Boutique.

So head over to Sunny Challengers to check out the other designers amazing creations and to join in the fun.

Have have great day.

Vintage....

..... I really like vintage style and admire all those talented people who are so great at this style. I'm not so great but I am getting better. My Vintage style card uses DSP with inking, beautiful ribbons and pearls.

The lovely doily is from the Flirtatious Specialty paper, just cut out then turned over and ink with a dauber. I also used Timeless Type DSP. Colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. So what do you think?

Playing with lace.

I have two cards to show you today, both Christmas cards of course.
When I saw the beautiful Crochet Trim in the Summer Mini Catalogue I remembered that I have a whole box of lace just sitting in the cupboard that my Mum gave me a long time ago. So why not use it.

The first card I hand stitched the lace to form a flower, finished it of with a button and some ribbon.. The stamp set is Season of Joy, the embossing folder is Vintage Wallpaper. A bit of sponging and spritzing with the new Smooch Spritz and added a few pearls. Colours are Garden Green, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla.

The next card I used the lace as a decorative strip across the bottom of the card. This lace looks so old that it may have been my Grandmothers. Stamp set used is Dasher, the embossing folder is Vintage Wallpaper again. With more sponging and spritzing. Added pearls and ribbon. The colours are Riding Hood Red, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
I think this is about as close as I can get to vintage. :)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Friends 24-7.

Hi, isn't this week going fast! It's Zach's 3rd birthday today and I didn't get to make his card yet. I'm going to have a fun craft day with friends tomorrow so I'm hoping to get it made then, if I don't chat too much. I also need a Wedding card for Saturday so I better get my act into gear.
.
I'm so excited, my 55 Chev card made it to the Top Pick over at Just Add ink. Thanks so much for all your fabulous comments. They are much appreciated.
.
Ok today I have a card I made a little while ago using the Friends 24-7 stamp set. Don't we all love this set! The main image has been stamped twice and looks a bit fuzzy in the photo so don't think you need to get your eye sight checked. The background was wheeled with the Friendly Words wheel. I also wheeled the die cut blooms and scrunched then up a bit. I really like how this card looks.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Friends 24-7, Friendly Words wheel
Card: Choc chip, Kraft, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Choc chip, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette
Punches: 1" circle
Tools: mat pack & tool, stamp a ma jig, wheel guide
Accessories: Die Cut Blooms Again, Pink pirouette ribbon, dauber

Have a Fabulous Friday.
