Weekend Away.

Hi, I'm heading up the coast today for a card making long weekend. I'm so excited. Four days of full on stamping, talking and nibbling, I can't wait. So I should get a lot of my Christmas cards made. (Hopefully) :) I have pre scheduled the Sunday Scrap post so make sure you check back on Sunday for that.
I will leave you with another Christmas card using up scraps and left overs. Again I have used the Contempo Wheel to heat emboss a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. The greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set and the colours are Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, I know I'm going to have a blast.

Sunday Scrap

Hi and happy Sunday. Don't you just love Sunday's, I love lazying around Sunday mornings. Again this week I didn't get much scrapping time (none) but I found this 8x8 Scrap page in my photo folder just waiting to be posted. The photo is of Zach when he was 7 months old just starting to sit up by himself.
The stamp set used is Baroque Motifs, such a beautiful stamp set. I have made my own metal embellishments by building up layers of silver embossing powder then while still hot pressed the stamp into the melted powder. The punched eyelet border strip has been put through the crimper for a ruffled look. The colours are Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla.

Here is a close up of the fake metal embellishments.

Have a wonderful day.

Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink to check out the amazing cards made by the design team. You will be inspired.

Passion 4 Paper Swaps

Hi, today I have the swap cards from our recent Passion 4 Paper team meeting to show you. The theme of the swap was to use scraps with a new stamp set from the new catalogue. This was harder for some of us than others (me) but everyone has done a fantastic job.
This first card was made by Angie using the Morning Cup stamp set, using up left over punched shapes.
Christine used the level 1 hostess set Because I Care, using left over strips of card for the background.

Julie made this cute little pillow box using up scraps of DSP and ribbon. With the greeting from the Perfect Punches stamp set.

Teressa made this peek a boo owl card with the Woodgrain background stamp using scraps of card to make the owl.

Here is a close up of the owl.And for my swap I made a Christmas card using the scrap bits of card that I had punched the ornaments out of, used as a template and spritzed over. Stamp set is Contempo Christmas.

So we hope this gives you some ideas with using your scraps and left over bits.
Have a great day.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi and Happy Sunday. Well I didn't get any Scrapin' done this week, I've been working on some Christmas projects, so today I have a Scrap Page I made a while ago. This page is of Rebecca quite a few years ago when she did gymnastics. She was a real climber when she was little and I was always worried that she would fall and hurt herself, so Gymnastics was perfect for her and she loved it.
Please note that some of the colours and products on this page are no longer available.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Cottage Garden
Card: Almost Amethyst. Pixie Pink, Whisper White
DSP: Cottage Wall
Ink: VersaMark, Rich Razzelberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive
Tools: Mat Pack & tool, Corner Rounder punch, Big Shot- Ovals die, Timeless Type Jnr Alphabet
Accessories: Flower Brads, 5/16" jumbo brads, Rich Razzelberry ribbon.

Have a great Sunday.

Sweet 16.

A super fast card for a male sweet 16th birthday. The Extreme Elements and Extreme Guitar stamp sets are just perfect for teens. The Shara Sand background is randomly stamped with the cool images from Extreme Elements in different colours. The Extreme Guitar image was stamped then while the stamp is still on the card I dragged it to one side giving the image the appearance of movement. Then added the greeting with a bit of ribbon and a couple of brads. I love that there are now 6 colours in each brad pack, making it so very easy to cordinate colours.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Extreme Elements, Extreme Guitar, Perfect Punches, Crazy for Cupcakes
Card: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, River Rock, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand
Punches: Oval, Round Tab
Tools: Stamp a ma jig
Accessories: More Mustard brads, Night of Navy ribbon
