Fab Friday 25.

I have discovered a new challenge blog (new to me) called Fab Friday. Every Friday there is a new challenge either a sketch challenge or a colour challenge. This week the Fab Friday 25 challenge is a sketch.

Using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set and the Merry & Type set. I heat embossed the flourish with Gold embossing powder, added a few Candy Dots and a bit of spritzing.

I've used one of the shapes of the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies to cut out a window, placing the greeting on the inside of the card.

To finish off the card I drew around the window with a gold pen and added  Seam Binding Ribbon.

Holiday Catalogue.

It's launch day for the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue. Click here to view. The Holiday Catalogue is available from today until the 1st February 2014 and full of Holiday stamps and products for Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Your going to love it. 

Here is a card using two of the new stamp sets Merry Little Christmas and Festive Flurry.

I've used the Chalkboard technique that I love so much on this card. Other new products are the lovely Sliver ribbon, Festive Flurry Framslits Dies and Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stacks. I'll posting lots of cards and projects in the coming days and weeks so check back regularly. Hostesses and special customers/friends will be receiving their Holiday Catalogue in the mail very soon so keep a check on your letter box.

SC 086/13.

The current challenge over at Sunny Challenges & Creations is to create a Shape card. Thanks Vicki. Shape cards are really fun to make. I decided to use the new Festive Flurry Framelits Dies (available in the Holiday Catalogue 29th August) for my shape.

They coordinate beautifully with the Festive Flurry stamp set. Colours used are Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Silver Glimmer Paper. The center has a beautiful Rhinestone embellishment. 

The inside is stamped with another new set Merry Little Christmas. Just inking up part of the stamp with markers.

I attached silver ribbon to the top of the card so it can also be used as a Christmas tree decoration.

Scrap Club August.

We had lots of fun making this Scrap page at Scrap Club this month. Sorry you couldn't be with us Kathy, but we know your having fun over in Europe. We can't wait till you back. So we used a few new products from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue. 

 The Six Sided Sampler stamp set, the Flower Shop set and Hello Lovely set.  We stamped the flowers onto vellum with Staz-On ink then coloured the back with a marker, punched out with the coordinating punch and added a rhinestone to the middle.

 Using the Occasions Paper Piercing Pack we pierced a heart around the YOU. We also added a bit of splattering on the background. The Six Sided Sampler stamp set also has a coordinating hexagon punch, making it easy for us.

19th Birthday Card.

Yes another male card. My oldest son turned 19 this week, all my kids have their birthdays really close together which makes for a busy couple of months and lots of cake. 19 is such a great age to be, lots of independence with not much responsibility. I tried to reflect in this card the passing of time while enjoying being 19 and to make the most of this time of his life.

Stamps set used in this card are Clockworks, Memorable Moments, Oh Goddie and Off the Grid. DSP Soho Subway. Colours used Basic Black, Island Indigo, Pool Party. Other products are Chalk Talk framelits, 1 1/4" circle punch, Gold embossing powder (watch), Pool Party embossing powder (grid), bakers twine, rhinestone and smooch spritz.

Tag It Birthday card.

Hi, today's card I made back over a month ago for my second  son's 12th Birthday. It's a Rubik's Cube card. I had given him a Rubik's Cube for Christmas, he had wanted one for a while and he mastered it in less than 24 hours. I can't even get one side completed before I become frustrated. Apparently the secret is to do with maths algorithms. No wonder I don't get it..... Anyway here is his Rubik's Cube card.

It's a quick and easy card using the Tag It stamp set, square punch and Basic Black,  Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight markers. That chameleon  is so cute.
