Girls Night In.

I'm getting really excited about our Girls Night In on Friday night that Tereesa and I are hosting.

What is a Girls Night in? It's simple - just come for a fun night of Craft, food and friends and donate what you would usually spend on a night out to the Cancer Council. The money raised goes towards research and support programs for women's cancers. Our theme for the night is Craft Fun and Stampin' Up! has generously donated a big box of goodies for us to use as raffles and prizes. We will be having make & takes, raffles, prizes, Cancer Council merchandise, nibbles and lots of fun.

If you would like to help make a difference email me stampin.with.leah@live.com.au for more info.

Thanks

Christmas Swap.

We had a fabulous time on Friday night at the Passion 4 Paper team meeting. We missed you girls that weren't able to make it, hopefully we'll see you next time.

Our swap theme this time was Christmas and they are all amazing.
Tereesa embossed and glittered the So Swirly stamp set to make this traditional card.

Julie L used Tree Trimmings, Baroque Motifs, Many Merry Messages and Sanded background stamp sets on her card for a rustic feel.

Christine made this card using the Tree Trimmings and Best Yet sets. Quite modern.

And here is my card, using the spotlighting technique with the Holiday Lineup stamp set.

A Gift Pouch.

This is the gift pouch I made to go with the Sweet Sixteen card from a few days ago. View here. It was the perfect fit for the gift. And she loved it.

Hope your having a great weekend.

Leah's Monthly challenge #13

Hi, I'm a bit late with this months challenge, there has been a lot happening lately, so here it is. My sister in-law is pregnant with her first baby, it's so exciting, so I thought I'd use a picture of a baby nursery for this months challenge. (I think she's having a girl.) Isn't this a beautiful room.

So just make a card, scrap page or decorator item using the picture as your inspiration.

The colours are : Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Entries to be in by Friday 30th Oct, 7.00pm Brisbane time. Leave a comment on this post with where your creation is. Or you can email it to me. stampin.with.leah@live.com.au

I can't wait to play with this one. I hope you have fun with it.

Sweet 16.

I made this card for a very special friend turning 16 this week. (No peeking Nadia) I used Makeesha's Inspiration Challenge #13, I picked out Whisper White from the plates, Riding Hood Red from the pattern, Choc Chip from the coffee beans and Kraft from the cinnamon. I love this colour combination.

And I used the Mojo Monday 107 sketch. The cupcake is from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set with DSP Ski Slop (Spring Mini).

Recipe
Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Choc Chip
Markers: Creamy Caramel, close to Cocoa, Choc Chip
Card: Kraft, Choc Chip, Whisper White
DSP: Ski Slope
Punches: scallop edge, 3/4" circle
Accessories: Riding Hood Red ribbon, chipboard-On Board lots of Letters, dazzling diamonds, silver brads, clear rhinestone brads.

Wouldn't it be great to be 16 again....

Stamp A Stack.

Wow, what a fantastic day we had on Saturday for World Card Making Day. Thanks to everyone who came and joined in on the fun. We've now made a great start with our Christmas cards and hopefully your now motivated to get all your Christmas cards done.
Congratulations to Leanne and Margaret who won the door prizes. Have fun with your goodies. :)
So here's what we made, this cute tree decoration made from the large and small tag punches. The center snow flake is from the Baroque Motifs stamp set with a rhinestone brad.

We did some colouring with the Stampin' Write Markers using the Holiday Lineup stamp set and added crystal effects. This stamp set is sooo much fun, I love it. The greeting is from the Happy Everything set.

And we used the Tree Trimmings (Spring Mini) stamp set to make these cards. We embossed the main ornament with a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. It looks great in real life. The greeting is from Best Yet (level 1 hostess set).

And yes I am planning another Christmas Stamp A Stack so keep checking the blog for details on that so you don't miss out.
