Christmas Swaps.

Hi, I finally got some computer time, with the kids home I don't get on it as much a I would like. We are counting down the days till Christmas, Zach is very excited, he even spoke to Santa but he is still not sure about sitting on his knee. If I'm really lucky I'll get a photo of him with Santa later this week.

We had a really fun night at our Passion 4 Paper group meeting recently, thank you Angie for hosting it. So here are the Christmas swap cards we swapped. I'm really looking forward to our next meeting, it's so good to get together.

Just in case I don't get back on here before Christmas I want to wish you all a fantastic Christmas with lots of Love, Peace & Joy.

Merry Christmas.

Graduation Card.

My baby graduated from year 12 a couple of weeks ago, I'm so proud of all he has accomplishes this year and of the young adult he is becoming. I did make him a graduation card but didn't take a photo of it yet, I'll have to find it in his messy room, but here is the card I made for a special friend of his who has been a great support for him this year.

I cased this card from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue, just changed it a bit to suit.

Sunny Challenges & Creations.

Good morning, yesterday I discovered Sunny Challenges & Creations, a fun new challenge blog started by 3 lovely ladies in Queensland. Every Sunday they set a challenge with a sketch and with a fun technique to try.   This weeks challenge with the sketch is the Emboss Resist technique. The challenge is open to anyone and everyone so why not play along too. Click here to see the designs teams creations and details about the challenge.

As I needed a card for a friends birthday so I thought I play along. I have changed the sketch just a bit, hope that's ok.
I have used the Parlor Prints background stamp, heat embossed with a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. it's a bit hard to see the sparkle in this photo but it looks great. Then using a dauber I inked over the card base with Cherry Cobbler ink gradually getting darker as I went along. I loved how this turned out. The other stamp set used is Friends Never Fade. For the stemmed flower I inked with Cherry Cobbler Stampin Write Marker then stamped off on scrap paper then inked only part of the stamp with the marker again creating the two tone look. The other flower has been cut out and raised with dimensionals with a bit of dazzling diamonds. To finish off I added Victoria crochet Trim with antique brad.

Jamie's Birthday.

Hi and Happy Halloween. Todays Scrap page is of Jamie's 10th Birthday Party. He invited his friends to see the Harry Potter Movie , which was awesome, and after we had his cake. He had to wait a couple of weeks after his actual birthday to have his party because that was when the movie was released. It was worth the wait.
I have used white gel pen and a bit of paint on this page with rub-on's, Number It stamp set, Circle Circus stamp set and DSP Just Add Cake.

Check back tomorrow for something BIG.

Block background.

Hi, today I have a card I made recently to show you. This card came about by my Mum having a line stamp that she was tired of colouring all the time and wanted another way of using it. I showed her that by stamping blocks of a light colour on the background then stamping in a darker colour over the top that she could create a stunning card using the same stamp. And it's quick too. On this card I've used the Stampin' Up! Clear Mount Blocks C & D, just put the ink directly onto the block then stamp. I really like this effect as it turns out a bit different every time. The stamp set used is Nature Walk and the colours used are Baja Breeze and Early Espresso.

Counting Butterflies.

I've been doing a bit of scraping lately, this page is of my Mum and Zach counting all the butterflies on her birthday cake. I made this page to coordinate with her birthday card and signature board and of course the cake that my sister decorated so beautifully.

I have used a few big shot dies, Top Note, Blossom Party, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet  and Beautiful Wings Embosslits. I think am turning into a Big Shot addict :) I use it almost every time I sit at my craft desk. Also used the Petite Pennants builder punch, another favorite new product.

Vintage....

..... I really like vintage style and admire all those talented people who are so great at this style. I'm not so great but I am getting better. My Vintage style card uses DSP with inking, beautiful ribbons and pearls.

The lovely doily is from the Flirtatious Specialty paper, just cut out then turned over and ink with a dauber. I also used Timeless Type DSP. Colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. So what do you think?

Launch Party.

We had a great time playing with some of the new Stampin' Up! products at the Launch Party on Saturday. It was really good to catch up with some people I hadn't seen for a while. Thank you ladies for coming along and making the afternoon really fun.

This first card we made using the Delicate Doilies stamp set in the new In colours, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Pool Party. We used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die with a few Rhinestone jewels for a bit of bling.

This next card is using the Forever Young stamp set and the Parlor Prints background stamp on the new In Colour Wisteria Wonder and last years in Colour Concord Crush. With the Top Note Bigz die and the Decorative label punch.

This one is the same card stamped in Island Indigo with the Parlor Prints background clear heat embossed. Hard to see in this photo, but this background stamp is beautiful  embossed.
So that's all from me today, thanks for visiting.

So thank you Jo Eades for this challenge.
I have used the Vintage Vogue and the Elements of Style stamp sets for this card, stamping in VersaMark on white card then chalking over the top in Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. Other products used are 2 Step Bird punch, Decorative Label punch, Daubers, Cutter Kit, Pompom Trim, Stripped Grosgrain ribbon, Jewels basic Pearl.

Hi, hope you all had a great weekend. It's my Mum's birthday so we had a big party for her on the weekend. Everyone came and we had lots of yummy food and lots and lots of delicious cake. I decorated a canvas board for everyone to write a special message for her, which she loved.
The colour combo was taken from the napkins we had and the cake and house were decorated in the same colour theme, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, River Rock and Black. I've used the Pennant Parade stamp set with the Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Big Shot dies -Blossom Party, Hearts & Brackets and Beautiful Wings, Pearl and Rhinestone Jewels and little bits of ribbon.
Here are a couple of close ups.
And here is the matching  Birthday card I made for her.
