(Jamies Pick)

And here are the other entries:
Angie: I love the layout of this card and Angie has also added some bling with dazzling diamonds. (Rebecca's pick)

Nerine: Has turned hers into a note pad cover, very clever. Click here to see more of Nerine's creations.

Kristy: I love how Kristy has used the Tempting Turquoise in the background, it makes the flowers really pop of the page.

Next months challenge will be posted soon, so check back to see what it is. Your going to love it.

Only one sleep to go....................

One sleep to go

I'm so excited, only one sleep to go until the Release of the new 2009/2010 Idea Book and Catalogue. Woo Hoo!!!!!

And only a few day until my Launch Party on Saturday 4th April. It's going to be so much fun. Ive been busy getting everything ready. Your going to love the new products.

So I want to show you the scrap page we made on the weekend. It's just like the card we made at the last stamp a stack but turned into a 8 x 8 scrap page. We used the Ocean Commotion stamp set using Stampin' Write Markers to give the two tone affect to the cute seahorse. I am happy to say that this stamp set is in the new Catalogue. Yeh!

And here's a girly one.

Happy Stampin'

Ginger Blossom.

We had a great time at Kristy's yesterday. (hi Kristy) I love to see the excitement in people at seeing Stampin' Up! products for the first time and the excitement of making that first card. Just can't beat it.

Here's the card using the Embrace Life stamp set and the Lots of Dots wheel with Ginger Blossom DSP. All from the Summer Mini Catalogue.

And here's the large pouch gift bag that Kristy received for being a fantastic hostess. And the small pouch gift bag went to Sharon for winning the lucky door prize. Both full of goodies of course.

I'll be back with more to show you later.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Tri Fold Card

I'm combing two challenges with this card. Mel's challenge #13 this week is to make a tri fold card and Makeesh's colour challenge #6. For someone that's not an orange person I've used a lot of today. :)
I was really surprised at how quick this tri fold card was to make. You know I love quick and easy. I used Crazy for Christmas stamp set (retiring list) and the greeting is from Short & Sweet.

The inside, tricky to photograph.

Recipe
Stamp Sets : Crazy for Christmas (retiring list) , Short & Sweet
Ink: basic black, pumpkin pie, purely pomegranate, regal rose
Card: whisper white, pumpkin pie, purely pomegranate, regal rose
DSP: bali breeze (mini cat)
Punches: scallop circle, scallop edge, 1 3/8" & 1 1/4" circle
Accessories: satin ribbon purely pomegranate, blender pen, button pumpkin pie, stamp a ma jig
Have a fabulous weekend.

Nerine's Tuesday Layout Challenge

Not happy with this card for Nerine's Layout this week. I think the
chipboard tag is too big and the rub-on greeting is too small. I think if I get time I'll have another go because I really like the layout. To enter Nerine's challenge click here.

Recipe
Stamp Set : Boho Backgrounds
Ink : really rust, choc chip
DSP : Outlaw (retiring list)
Card : choc chip, really rust, very vanilla
Punches: scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle
Accessories : On Board Accents, Rub-ons Cherished Memories, sanding block, double stitched ribbon choc chip, hemp twine, jumbo eyelet pewter, crop a dile

Colour Inspiration # 47

I have to say I trouble with the colours in Kristina's challenge this week. Orange & Yellow are just not me. But it goes to show that any colour combined with choc chip can look great. Check out the other entries to see what I mean. click here

I've used the brayer on this card. First stamping the butterfly image onto gloss white card with choc chip ink. Then using the brayer to roll on so saffron and then tangerine tango ink.

Recipe
Stamp Sets : Garden Whimsy, So Swirly wheel
Ink : choc chip, so saffron, tangerine tango
Card : gloss white, confetti white, tangerine tango, so saffron
Punches : 1 1/4" & 1 5/8" square
Accessories : brayer, brads so saffron, 5/8" grosgrain ribbon choc chip, dimensionals

Left Overs

I had some circles left over from Christmas cards I made for the kids to give to their school friends, so it got me thinking about how to use them up. I don't like to waste anything. So I ended up turning the circles into flowers using the Stem Sayings stamp set for the stems. Another quick and easy card.

Recipe
Stamp Set : Stem Sayings
Card: old olive, real red, very vanilla
Ink : old olive
DSP: Dashing
Punches : scallop edge, scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, corner rounder
Accessories: grosgrain ribbon always artichoke, dimensionals

Balloon Hat.

Hi, here is the funny balloon hat that Jamie got at the Bronco's game on Friday night. The photo's not so good but it's in the Bronco colours and Jamie just loves wearing it. Can you imagine sitting at the game with a kid in front of you wearing one of these....:) It would drive me crazy!

Makeesha's Inkspiration Challenge #6 - Card & Scrap Page

Makeesha has a sketch challenge for us this week. I thought this sketch would easily transfer into a scrap page so I did one of those as well.
I picked the DSP Bali Breeze as my base to start with and choose the colours from there. Old Olive & Taken with Teal. I used some chip board shapes, paper piecing and yes the scallop edge punch again. Just love it.

Added a bit of Crystal Effects for some shine.

And here's the Scrap page. Haven't found a photo yet.

Ocean Commotion

I had a great time stamping last night. Everyone went to the Bronco's / Storm game and once Zach was asleep i had hours of uninterrupted stamping time. That doesn't happen very often. I was working on a few things one being the Mel's March swap which I can't show you just yet.

So today I'm going to show you a card I made a few weeks back when I first got a brayer. The photo's not so great but you get the idea. I've brayed three colours onto gloss card to get the really cool background . Then stamped the images from Ocean Commotion stamp set ( which is in the new Catalogue Yey!) in black and grays and added dazzling diamonds.

Recipe
Stamps: Ocean Commotion, Say it with Scallops
Ink: pretty in pink, soft sky, blue bayou
Card: gloss white, blue bayou, soft sky, whisper white
Punches: oval, corner rounder
Accessories: brayer (love it), hodge podge silver, double striped ribbon soft sky, dazzling diamonds, 2way glue stick

Just in case you didn't watch the game, Bronco's won by 1 point. The kids had a great time, they loved all the fire works and came home all hyped up and with funny balloon hats in bronco's colours. Must get a photo.

Have a great Saturday.

K Werner Colour Inspiration # 46

Love the colour's Kristina picked this week. Although this card is sooo different to how it started. It was going to be a nice pretty flowery card, but ended up kinda retro. The challenge hasn't been up long so you've got time to have a go. (click here)

Recipe

Awards.

These are two awards I received back in January, please forgive me Nerine and Liam for not posting and passing them on when I should have. I really do feel so honored because there are so many fantastic craft blogs out there and you picked mine.... Wow!
I received the Kreativ Blogger Award from Liam (Inspirestampin) she has such a great blog with loads of very creative projects, you should check it out. here
These are the rules for this award :
1. The winner gets to put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs for the award.
So I will nominate:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the Proximity Award, given to me by the lovely Nerine at Stampin' Addiction.
I love her Tuesday Layout Challenge.
In receiving this award , I have agreed to post this awards creed and pass it onto 8 bloggers who, with luck will then pass it on to 8 other great blogs.
"These blogs believe and invest in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbon of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose 8 more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their awards."
I will pass this award onto:

Karen Robinson Congratulation on making 102 layouts for the Memories Project. You rock!

Sonia-Giggle Buttons Your antics always make me laugh.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I almost forgot to post this one. This is from Robyn at Rainbows by Robyn. She pick her 10 favorite cards and one of them was mine. It's the card I made for Nerine's Tuesday Layout Challenge & Makeesha's CC #5. You can have a look at it here.

For this award I need to pass it on to my top 10 Fav's. Because this has taken me sooo long and because I love all the blogs listed above, everyone above will also receive this award.

Thanks you so much Liam, Nerine & Robyn, your so sweet. :)

And thank you to all the wonderful ladies above for sharing your very creative ideas.

More Petal Prints

Here are a couple more cards using the Petal Prints stamp set. I just found them in my photo folder and hadn't yet posted them. I also found a few other cards that I will post another time.
This first one is using the colours choc chip, sage shadow, pretty in pink and whisper white. The background is the Sanded stamp and the greeting is from Sincere Salutations.

I have another fun weekend planed. Taking Jamie to the school disco tonight, he so excited. While the big boys are going to the Bronco's game. First game of the season, they'll probably get rained on. I'm seeing my Aunt & Uncle from Darwin, tomorrow. Yey! Can't wait to catch up. Sunday is Alex's football game, a home game this week so we shouldn't have any trouble finding the field. (grin) So hopefully I'll get time to do a couple of challengers in between everything else.

Hope you have a fun weekend too!

March Diary/Calander Page

Click here for the UPDATED Retired Availiabily List as of March 12th 4.50pm.

I finally got it posted, the diary/calender page for March. I've used the Simply Scrapin' Kit Secret Garden, love it, love it, love it! Which is on the Retired List $36.95. Everything is from the Kit except a couple of punches and the Jumbo Outline Alphabet set and the It's a Date set, also retiring $29.95. Which is why I love these kits, everything you need for any project is in the kit. Too easy!

This time I added a couple of extra pages for notes and things to remember. The DSP from the kit already has lines on it making it super easy. And I've used my favorite punch again the Scallop edge punch.

Have a great night and I'll catch you tomorrow with some projects using retired sets.
