Winner Challenge # 12

It's that time again. Time to announce the winner of Leah's Monthly Challenge #12. You all must have been very busy this month because we have just two entries. You'd think that would make it easier to pick a winner, but no it's so much harder. So for this month we have a tie.

Congratulation to both Lynda and Robyn.

This first one is made by Robyn I love the simplicity, well done.

And Lynda made both of these. This is Lynda's first time at entering one of my challenges and does not have blog, but she has promised to enter again. Great job Lynda.

Thanks you both Robyn and Lynda for playing along and hope you can enter again next month.
And I hope a few more of you out there can enter next month too. Challenge # 13 will be posted in a few days.

So I got a head start on this one as we won't be seeing her until Sunday. I used the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 247 for this card. For Maree.

The school holidays have begun, I love the school holidays. Today I slept until 9.30am, did absolutely no housework and just played all day. What a great way to start the holidays.
Yesterday we went to my very good friend, Maree, surprise birthday lunch. It was so good, she had no idea at all. Loved the look on her face when she walked into the restaurant and saw us all then realized what was going on. She had a great time. Happy Birthday Maree.
So here is the card I made for her. I don't know what to call it. Maree's favorite colour is Baja Breeze so I used the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper. (Spring Mini) I traced around a carousel note on the top flap and cut out to make the scallop edge. Layered a few flowers with a corduroy brad and wrapped with ribbon.

Recipe
Stamp Set : Friends 24-7
Card: choc chip, whisper white
DSP: Parisian Breeze Specialty
Ink: choc chip, baja breeze
Punches: eyelet boarder
Accessories: corduroy brad, felt flowers, white flower-pretties kit, choc chip & whisper white ribbon, piercing mat & tool

Sense of Time.

Today I have an 8 x 8 scrap page that we made at last months workshops. I really like this set, Sense of Time (Spring Mini) it can be used for lots of different themes. We also had a play with my new toy the Spritzer. I love it, you've gotta get one of these, it's so fun and a great stress release. :) The clock is embossed in gold and the edgers are inked using a dauber.

Close up of what the Spritzer can do.
It spritzers the ink onto the page forming the splattered effect.

Stamp Set: Sense of Time
Card: very vanilla, creamy caramel
Ink: VersaMark, creamy caramel marker, choc chip marker
Punches: tag, 1" circle
Accessories: gold embossing powder, spritzer, dauber, gold brad, grosgrain ribbon choc chip

Swaps.

Here are some amazing cards I received from the Passion 4 Paper team swap. All stamp sets are from the Spring Mini Catalogue.

This first one is mine, I've used the Great friend set, DSP Walk in the Park and a jumbo silver brad. The butterfly was embossed in white onto vellum.
Julie also used the Great Friend set. She has kissed the butterfly and embossed the greeting with clear embossing power and dazzling diamonds.

Tereesa used Uncharted Territory stamp set for her step card. And added a couple of cute fish from the Just Beachy set.
I'm looking forward to see what they come up with next time.

Leah's Monthly Challenge #11 Winner & Entries

.
It's that time of the month again, time to announce the winner of Challenge # 11.

I know you all had a lot of trouble with the colour combo this time but I hope you had fun too. I've certainly had fun going through all of them and have been inspired by your amazing cards. Challenge # 12 will be much easier, I promise.

Thank you all so much for playing I had a very hard time picking a winner. It seems to get harder each month.

Ok, the winner of Challenge #11 is........Maree.

Congratulations.

Maree has combined the very tricky colours in a way that makes the card really pop and that corduroy button just makes it. Well done Maree.

Shelley - has made 4 cards using the "one sheet wonder" technique. You go girl!

Karen - has used a combination of punched out flowers using Crystal Effects to high light parts of her card. This is Karen's first time at entering a challenge. Well done.

Shelley - Has made a step card with her new goodies from the Spring Mini Cat.

Tereesa - made this gorgeous pop up card. I love how she combined the colours. And it folds down flat easy to post.

Natasha - also combined the colours really well with great use of the punches.

Thanks again everyone and I hope you get to play again next month.
