Tree Trimmings.

I think the Tree Trimming stamp set is my most used set from the Spring Mini Catalogue. I love it so much. Here I've used it to make a Christmas tree decoration, inspired from GinnyGinny at Splitcoast Stampers. The center image is from the Baroque Motifs set. There is a lot of cutting out to make one of these but I think the end result is worth it.

This one I turned into a card using the Gold Brushed Metallic card (great for Christmas) and Riding Hood Red and heat embossing in gold. The greeting is from the Punches Three stamp set ( level 1 hostess). I've also used the eyelet boarder punch, scallop oval punch, gold brads and Riding Hood Red ribbon.
Here is the inside.

The colours for this card are Old Olive and Riding Hood Red with Ski Slope DSP.

Last Day.

Good morning, what a fantastic time we had at the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar on Saturday. Not only did I get to spend the day stamping with a wonderful group of ladies, but I also learnt a few new tricks and techniques which I can't wait to show you. It was also great to see some of my demonstrator friends and make some new friends.
.
Because today is the last day for the Spring Mini Catalogue I thought I better show you a few more cards using stamp sets from it. This card we made at Megan's workshop using the Tree Trimmings stamp set. The baja decoration was heat embossed with a mixture of clear embossing powder & dazzling diamonds. The olive decoration was stamped three times, cut out and folded in half adhering the side together to form a 3d decoration. And the red decoration was heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto red card. The greeting is from the Best Yest (level 1 hostess) stamp set. We also used the eyelet boarder punch, Ski Slope DSP ( Spring Mini), gold brads and the Stamp a ma jig.

No Challenge this month.

This month has got away from me, so there will not be a challenge this month. Sorry. :( But there will be one in December for sure. And yes you guessed it, it will be Christmasy. So check back for that early December.
.
If you need some idea's for Christmas gifts have a look at the Christmas Gift Giving Guide. There is something for everyone. And if you order $85 of products from the guide you will receive a Scallop Square Punch ($30.95 value) for FREE. How good is that! (Ends Dec 14th.)
.
There are only 13 days left to order from the Spring Mini Catalogue, so contact me with your order before those gorgeous stamps and accessories are gone.
.
Don't you just love the Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP! I've used it here to make this Pouch Gift Box, I love these too. We had fun making these at Megan's. The greeting is from the Say it with Scallops stamp set and I've used the Scallop Square punch, Round Tab punch and my new punch Heart to Heart. The 5/8" Jumbo brad in choc chip just finishes it off.

Wow, what a fantastic day we had on Saturday for World Card Making Day. Thanks to everyone who came and joined in on the fun. We've now made a great start with our Christmas cards and hopefully your now motivated to get all your Christmas cards done.
Congratulations to Leanne and Margaret who won the door prizes. Have fun with your goodies. :)
So here's what we made, this cute tree decoration made from the large and small tag punches. The center snow flake is from the Baroque Motifs stamp set with a rhinestone brad.

We did some colouring with the Stampin' Write Markers using the Holiday Lineup stamp set and added crystal effects. This stamp set is sooo much fun, I love it. The greeting is from the Happy Everything set.

And we used the Tree Trimmings (Spring Mini) stamp set to make these cards. We embossed the main ornament with a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. It looks great in real life. The greeting is from Best Yet (level 1 hostess set).

For Maree.

The school holidays have begun, I love the school holidays. Today I slept until 9.30am, did absolutely no housework and just played all day. What a great way to start the holidays.
Yesterday we went to my very good friend, Maree, surprise birthday lunch. It was so good, she had no idea at all. Loved the look on her face when she walked into the restaurant and saw us all then realized what was going on. She had a great time. Happy Birthday Maree.
So here is the card I made for her. I don't know what to call it. Maree's favorite colour is Baja Breeze so I used the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper. (Spring Mini) I traced around a carousel note on the top flap and cut out to make the scallop edge. Layered a few flowers with a corduroy brad and wrapped with ribbon.

Recipe
Stamp Set : Friends 24-7
Card: choc chip, whisper white
DSP: Parisian Breeze Specialty
Ink: choc chip, baja breeze
Punches: eyelet boarder
Accessories: corduroy brad, felt flowers, white flower-pretties kit, choc chip & whisper white ribbon, piercing mat & tool

Sense of Time.

Today I have an 8 x 8 scrap page that we made at last months workshops. I really like this set, Sense of Time (Spring Mini) it can be used for lots of different themes. We also had a play with my new toy the Spritzer. I love it, you've gotta get one of these, it's so fun and a great stress release. :) The clock is embossed in gold and the edgers are inked using a dauber.

Close up of what the Spritzer can do.
It spritzers the ink onto the page forming the splattered effect.

Happy Fathers Day.

Happy Fathers Day, I made a gorgeous card at Julie's Launch Party for the kids to give their Dad. You can see it here, just scroll down a little. Today is also my Mother in-laws birthday so we are having a double celebration today. She asked us not to get her a present but it's still nice to give a little something so I made her a set of Christmas cards. Now she won't have to buy any.
Here are some from the set.

Anyway here is my card.

DSP: walk in the park
Punches: eyelet boarder, 3/4" circle (behind flower)
