A Christmas Card.

Hi, today I have a Christmas card to show you. Using the Baroque Motifs stamp set and the Contempo Christmas stamp set. I like using non Christmas stamp sets as Christmas cards and the Baroque Motifs set can be used for lots of different types of cards and scrap pagers. Love it. I have used heat & stick powder to stick dazzling diamonds on the ornament punch. Very glittery. The heat & stick powder can stick anything, glitter, beads, sand, anything.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Baroque Motifs, Contempo Christmas.
Card: Very Vanilla
DSP: Jolly Holiday
Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Punch: ornament
Accessories: 1/8" taffeta ribbon very vanilla, heat & stick powder, dazzling diamonds
Tools: mat pack & tool, heat tool

New Look & Awards.

Hi, so don't you just love my blogs new Christmas look!  I spent quite a few hours last night getting it right. With less than a month until Christmas it will help us get into the Christmas spirit. We are putting our new big tree up on Wednesday, our little one is looking a bit sad., It doesn't really feel like Christmas until the tree is up. I have also added a few new links on the side bar so if you haven't had a look there for a while go and check it out.

I have been very fortunate to receive 2 blog awards recently.
This first one is the " I got the Attitude Blog Award" given to me by a lovely friend and very talented paper crafter Tracey, check out her blog Trace-Elementz  here. Thanks so much Tracey.
Receiving this award means I have to tell you three things that make me "me" and pass it along. This is quite hard.
 1. I am an easy going, caring person.
 2. I am very patient person.
 3. And I would not be me without my 4 fantastic kids. If I didn't have them  I would be ... someone else.
Now I would like to pass this award onto a few blogs that I think have Attitude and really cute cards.

Click on the link to visit these blogs.

This next Award is the Best Blog Friends Forever Award, given to me by my BBFF Sonia. Check out Sonia's blog here. Thank you Sonia, this is a really cool award.

Now I need to pass this on and this is very, very hard because I have made some wonderful friends in blog land who I think will be friends forever. I would like to pass it back to Sonia, but I don't think that's allowed.

Click on the link to visit these blogs.

That's it from me today but make sure you check back on Wednesday 1st December for the new Summer Mini catalogue and a new Stampin' Up! promotion. Exciting!

Sunday Scrap - Big Blow.

Hi, Happy Sunday. For today's Scrap Page I've used this weeks sketch challenge #214 from Pencil Lines. I just discovered Pencil Lines the international sketch challenge blog this week. With designers from all over the world I'm sure to get plenty of inspiration. This weeks sketch was designed by the super talented Laura Vegas. This sketch was great for me as I struggle a bit with multiple photos.

And here is my page. Zach again, the camera just loves him, having a bubble bath.

I've used Vellum circles to represent the bubbles and the Extreme Elements stamp set in the background. The Vellum bubbles are really good for covering up .... things. You know what I mean!

Recipe (All Products are from Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets: Defining Alphabet, Extreme Elements, Dotted Lines Wheel
Card: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Vellum
DSP: Elegant Soiree
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Punches: 1/2", 3/4" 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circles, scallop circle
Accessories: baja breeze ribbon, linen thread

That's it from me today, have a great Sunday.

Just back...

...from a long weekend away. Christine, Marcelle, Carly & I went up the coast for a card making weekend. It was so much fun, we laughed, talked & talked, ate way too much junk food ( starting diet today) and we even made a few cards. We each made about 50 cards. Woo Hoo! I was amazed at the amount, it does help when you have a plan. I will show you my cards in upcoming posts. But for today I have a couple of photo's of our room, we pushed all the furniture back against the wall and set up our tables in the middle.

Here are the tables all set up and ready to begin, they didn't stay tidy for very long.

The weather was a bit wet but that didn't worry us. I have to show you the best All Day Big Breaky I have ever seen. We stopped at a little petrol station restaurant on the way up and Christine got all this for just $11 and that plate was huge. She did a great job of getting through most of it.

So a big thank you to Christine for inviting me, being my chauffeur, bringing an extra table for me and for not singing that Christmas song again. :) Thank you Marcelle for your great ideas & inspiration & cooking us a very yummy almost healthy dinner. Thank you Carly for you Black Eyed Peas CD ( bad radio & TV reception up there), for entertaining us with your face book quotes and for putting up with us oldies.

Sunday Scrap - Up, Up & Away.

I finally got some Scraping time. Today's page is of Alex when he was 3 years old, as most 3 year olds he loved to dress up and his Super Man costume was one of his favorites. There is not much stamping on this page just the Dotted Lines Wheel I rolled onto the metal edge tag. The Dotted Lines Wheel is excellent for Journaling.

Recipe
Stamp: Dotted Lines Wheel
Card: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Daffadil Delight, Real Red
Ink" Daffodil Delight
Punches: word window, 1 3/8" circle
Accessories: Pacific Point ribbon, silver Jumbo brad, metal edge tag
Tools: Big Shot-Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Timeless Type Jnr Alphabet dies
Have a super Sunday.

(Hopefully) :) I have pre scheduled the Sunday Scrap post so make sure you check back on Sunday for that.
I will leave you with another Christmas card using up scraps and left overs. Again I have used the Contempo Wheel to heat emboss a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. The greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set and the colours are Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, I know I'm going to have a blast.

Sunday Scrap

Hi and happy Sunday. Don't you just love Sunday's, I love lazying around Sunday mornings. Again this week I didn't get much scrapping time (none) but I found this 8x8 Scrap page in my photo folder just waiting to be posted. The photo is of Zach when he was 7 months old just starting to sit up by himself.
The stamp set used is Baroque Motifs, such a beautiful stamp set. I have made my own metal embellishments by building up layers of silver embossing powder then while still hot pressed the stamp into the melted powder. The punched eyelet border strip has been put through the crimper for a ruffled look. The colours are Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla.

Here is a close up of the fake metal embellishments.

Have a wonderful day.

Passion 4 Paper Swaps

Hi, today I have the swap cards from our recent Passion 4 Paper team meeting to show you. The theme of the swap was to use scraps with a new stamp set from the new catalogue. This was harder for some of us than others (me) but everyone has done a fantastic job.
This first card was made by Angie using the Morning Cup stamp set, using up left over punched shapes.
Christine used the level 1 hostess set Because I Care, using left over strips of card for the background.

Julie made this cute little pillow box using up scraps of DSP and ribbon. With the greeting from the Perfect Punches stamp set.

Teressa made this peek a boo owl card with the Woodgrain background stamp using scraps of card to make the owl.

Here is a close up of the owl.And for my swap I made a Christmas card using the scrap bits of card that I had punched the ornaments out of, used as a template and spritzed over. Stamp set is Contempo Christmas.

So we hope this gives you some ideas with using your scraps and left over bits.
Have a great day.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi and Happy Sunday. Well I didn't get any Scrapin' done this week, I've been working on some Christmas projects, so today I have a Scrap Page I made a while ago. This page is of Rebecca quite a few years ago when she did gymnastics. She was a real climber when she was little and I was always worried that she would fall and hurt herself, so Gymnastics was perfect for her and she loved it.
Please note that some of the colours and products on this page are no longer available.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Cottage Garden
Card: Almost Amethyst. Pixie Pink, Whisper White
DSP: Cottage Wall
Ink: VersaMark, Rich Razzelberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive
Tools: Mat Pack & tool, Corner Rounder punch, Big Shot- Ovals die, Timeless Type Jnr Alphabet
Accessories: Flower Brads, 5/16" jumbo brads, Rich Razzelberry ribbon.

Have a great Sunday.

Sweet 16.

A super fast card for a male sweet 16th birthday. The Extreme Elements and Extreme Guitar stamp sets are just perfect for teens. The Shara Sand background is randomly stamped with the cool images from Extreme Elements in different colours. The Extreme Guitar image was stamped then while the stamp is still on the card I dragged it to one side giving the image the appearance of movement. Then added the greeting with a bit of ribbon and a couple of brads. I love that there are now 6 colours in each brad pack, making it so very easy to cordinate colours.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Extreme Elements, Extreme Guitar, Perfect Punches, Crazy for Cupcakes
Card: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, River Rock, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand
Punches: Oval, Round Tab
Tools: Stamp a ma jig
Accessories: More Mustard brads, Night of Navy ribbon
