Mojo Monday 153.

Hi, I had a really fun day yesterday stamping with my Mum, we played around with different techniques and the Big Shot. We didn't actually get any cards finished but we had a great time.
Rebecca was looking for a birthday card for her friend this morning and the pickings were slim so I used the Mojo Monday 153 sketch challenge to make a girl teen birthday card. I've used a new Hostess stamp set Playful Pieces coming out in the new 2010/2011 Idea Book Catalogue on the 1st of September. This set is really fun to play with.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Playful Pieces, Party this Way
Card: Regal Rose, Coco Chip, Whisper White
DSP: Sweet Always
Ink: Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip
Punches: 1 1/4" square, scallop square, trio flowers, word window
Tools: Big Shot-Timeless Type Alpha Jnr
Accessories: Choc Chip ribbon, Pumpkin Pie ribbon, rhinestone brad, pumpkin pie brads, dazzling diamonds (candle flames)

Now I better go and make something for the Fathers Day stall, not many days left.
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi, another boy page today for Sunday Scrap. This is Alex at his very first Sports Day at Preschool. It is quite tricky to fit a lot of photo's on one page but with a bit of cropping I managed to get 5 photo's on there. I know it's hard to see here but in every photo he has the biggest smile on his face, he had such a fun day.
Again I have used the Big Shot with the Timeless Type Jnr Alpha dies for my title. There are a few different elements for the embellishments, metal edge tags, ribbon, DSP Good Morning Sunshine, punched shapes, rhinestone brads and a button. Which combine to make a bright and fun page.

Hope your having a fabulous weekend.

For the Clowns.

A couple of weeks ago we went to the school variety show, it was so good, but the best act of all were the clowns. They were so very funny and very entertaining. So I made this card for them to show how much we enjoyed their performance. The two clowns are so amazing they performed 4 nights in a row and twice on Saturday. I can't wait to see what they come up with for next year.
I've added crystal effects to their noses and balls. And dazzling diamonds on the tutu.

Just Add Ink #31.

Just Add Ink have a colour challenge this week, Real Red, Choc Chip & Kraft. My favorite colours for Christmas. It's never too early to start Christmas cards. I've added a bit of Very Vanilla for the Top Note panel, stamped the greeting and tree from the Season of Joy stamp set and spritzed with the choc chip marker. The red flower has been clear heat embossed. The Kraft panel has been dry embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Thanks.

Poppin Pastels.

Hi, hope you all had a great weekend. We went to my nieces soccer game, it was so good to get out in the sunshine and fresh air, they won 6-nil. I also got lots of stampin done, I've been playing with my new goodies. So much fun.
Today I'm going to show you a card we made at a workshop a while back, just found it in my photo file. It's using the Poppin' Pastels technique with the Always in Bloom wheel. We inked the wheel with VersaMark ink and wheeled it across the white card then using daubers added colour with the Stampin Pastels. This technique is really fun because you don't really know what it will look like until your finished. The greeting and beautiful butterfly are from the Great Friend stamp set, which is making a come back in the new Catalogue.
Recipe
Stamp Sets: Great Friends, Always in Bloom wheel
Card: Kraft, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun, Choc chip
Punch: corner rounder, photo corner
Accessories: Choc Chip ribbon, silver brads, daubers, Stampin' Pastels

Enjoy.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi, hope your all having a happy Scrappy Sunday. Today's page is a simple one of a fun trip to Wellington Point with great friends a few years ago. Jamie is the main subject on this page because he fell in the hole the kids were digging. It was so funny, I just love the look on his face. So the photo's are a bit blurry but it doesn't matter as they hold special memories for us.
I have done a bit of sewing on this page, used the big shot again (love it) stamped a couple of cute fish from the Ocean Commotion stamp set and added some rub-ons. Using up left overs.

Here is a few close ups, don't you love that look, I grin every time I look at it.
Jamie was not happy at all.
Just realized I have the wrong year on the tag, it should be 2006.
Better change that.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Ocean Commotion
Card: Kraft, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink
Tools: Big Shot-Timeless Type Jnr Alpha & Numbers dies, Lots of Tags dies, sewing machine
Accessories: Rub-Ons- Loop to Loop (level 3 hostess), linen thread, brad
.
Bye for now.

Too Cute!

CD Holder.

Hi, I have been meaning to show you this for a while now. I made this CD Holder with photo's from the 2010 Stampin' Up! Convention for the Passion 4 Paper girls that where unable to attend. To show them what they missed out on. ;) I also made a couple extra for good friends Karen & Natasha. The inspiration came from Shannon West. I used the Circle Scissor Plus, the Life Definitions stamp Set, the Simple Serif Mini alphabet & Numbers set and on the inside one of the images from the Tiny Tags set in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

Hope your having a great week.

Sunday Scrap

I've been thinking about my oldest son a lot lately, he is turning 16 this week, scary. So my Sunday Scrap page today is Alex, Almost 16. The base is Choc Chip with Tangerine Tango & Baja Breeze for the accent colours. The title "Almost" is chipboard. I used the punched out negative for the "16" and the little bracket is made from double punching with the curly label punch. I've also used lots of different brads & eyelets. Julie has inspired me to use up my scraps.
Recipe
Card: Choc chip, Baja breeze, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Tools: Big Shot - Timeless type Alpha Jnr dies, sizzlites 4 pk dies, crop a dile
Punches: 1 1/4" square, curly label
Accessories: designer hardware Soho, Baja Breeze ribbon, brads & jumbo eyelets, rub-ons, on board lots of letters

Tote-ally Nina.

It's my nieces 21st birthday today, it totally amazes me how fast the years go by. I have spent the last couple of days helping out with the party plans. She decided to have a very non traditional 21st party, breakfast in the park, which was really fun. We had relay races, egg & spoon races, thong throwing competition and lots of other fun activities. But of course she is heading off for a night on the town with her girl friends. While I headed home for a nap.
.
Here is the card I made for her using the Tote-ally Tess stamp set. I have tried to make her look like my niece, paper pieced her clothes and gave her a soccer ball, she loves to play soccer. You may notice a couple products in this card you haven't seen before, just a sneak peak from the new catalogue for you. :)

Another Swap.

I forgot to show you the swap I made for the Passion 4 Paper swap challenge. It's a cute gift box made out of the scallop envelope die. I joined 4 together to form the box and decorated it with the Vintage Vogue stamp set in Melon Mambo ink.

Can you see the dazzling diamonds on the flower?

I made an extra one to give as a thank you, filled with chocolates, for a very special Mum from playgroup. I hope she likes it.

Swaps

Good Morning Stampers, last week the Passion 4 Paper girls got together for some stampin fun. Each time we get together we have a swap challenge. This time we had to make something using a stamp set out of the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue using one or more of the new colours. Rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede. Well the girls certainly came up with fabulous cards and all completely different, using different stamp set.

Christine used All a Flutter.

Julie used Tote-ally Tess and Cottage Garden.

Teressa used Pony Party.

Angie used Cottage Garden and Heard from the Heart with the Extra-Large Two-Step Bird punch.

We always have a great time when we get together and I can't wait until our next time.
Have a great day.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi, welcome to Sunday Scrap. This week I have made a scrap page based on this weeks sketch over at Just Add Ink. You may have seen the robot card I made using this sketch earlier this week. I thought the sketch would work well with photos of Rebecca that I've been wanting to scrap for a while. She had a fantastic time swimming with the pelicans, they didn't seem to mind her being there at all. That was such a great day at the beach and wonderful memories for us.

Did you notice what is missing from this page? There isn't any stamping or ribbon. I'm still in shock. But I do love the simplicity of this page. And the bling.

Recipe
Card: Basic Black textured, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Accessories: Rub-Ons (retired), Rhinestone brads Ice
Tools: Big Shot- Timeless Type Alpha Jnr, Crimper

Have a fabulous day.
