This is an entry for my colour challenge #3 from Julie. I just found it in my inbox, I'm so sorry that I missed it Julie. I hope you'll forgive me.

Merry Christmas Box

Hi, I'm back from a relaxing long weekend at the Gold Coast. Well as relaxing as it can get with 4 kids. We really did have a great time, lots of swimming, the kids loved the water slide, and lots and lots of eating. The best part for me was no dishes to wash. So now we're back and trying to finish up the Christmas shopping.
Here are a couple of quick little gift boxes I made for some friends. So cute! I filled them with chocies, yum. Very easy to make. I love the half pearl in the centre of the greeting. You can see I've used the new scallop edge punch, large star punch and the 1" circle punch.

If I get some time I'll post some photo's from our weekend.

Christmas Flower.

Hi, just wanted to show you this Christmas card before I head off to the coast for a few days to relax and be pampered. I can't wait, no cooking, no cleaning, no washing dishes. Just lazing by the pool and eating out.

No time for the recipe. The colours are real red, sage shadow and whisper white. The flower is from the Scribble This stamp set, white embossed. The greeting is from the Party Punch set. And I've used the scallop edge punch and the 1" circle punch.

Have a great weekend and we'll catch up when I get back.

I've had a huge week with all the end of school things, but so much fun. I attended the grade 2 Fairy Tale Ball today. It was way too hot for dancing but that didn't stop us. I also had to keep ice blocks frozen, chicken chips hot and sandwiches fresh. hmm... Luckily my friend runs the tuck shop. Thanks Deb. I still fitted in the last lunch of the year with the lovely ladies I do lunch with every week. I will miss the lunches during the holidays, but it's not the same when there are 20 kids tagging along. lol We plan to hit the park instead. And Sonya's pool.

Until next time... turn that air con up to high.

K Werner Design Colour Inspiration # 34

Kristina always has great colour combinations. This week for her Colour Inspiration #34 her colours are Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery and Whisper White/Very Vanilla. I did have a little bit of trouble combining so many colours, but I think it turned out ok. I needed a card for my daughters teacher, tomorrow. And I think these colours are just right. ( Only two more days of school left!)

I kept it simple so that the beautiful flower image from the Embrace Life set is the main focal point. I've water coloured it and added a bit of dazzling diamonds.

Kids Christmas Craft.

Iv'e been doing Christmas Craft with Rebecca's class every afternoon this week. We had so much fun. The kids are great.

These are the one's my daughter, Rebecca made.

A cute tree ornament made with the scallop circle punch.
I punched out 120 scallops.

This very easy gift box, with candy canes of course.

And this reindeer poop bag I saw on Dawns Stamping Thoughts. So very Cute.
The kids loved this. When filling up the bag with reindeer poop some of the boys asked me how much poop do they put in? So I said " it depends on how naughty you have been this year." One boy said "I better put lots in because I've been really naughty ." giggle

11 year olds are so much fun.

It was a lot of fun and baby Zach behaved very well. One afternoon he slept through the whole thing. And I'm so glad the kids enjoyed it.

Makeesha's Colour Challenge #2

The colours in Makeesha's challenge this week are gorgeous. I started with soft sky for the card base, layered with close to cocoa stamped with the bunch of flowers from Live your Dream stamp set, in close to cocoa ink. Then a layer of the new DSP Afternoon Tea, folding one corner over so we can see both patterns. The embellishment is just made by layering a couple of circles onto a scallop circle and adding a button. Cute! And for that last touch a bit of taffeta ribbon with a bow. You all can recreate this one. Easy Pesy!

Leah's Monthly Challenge #3

It's time for my monthly challenge #3 and of course it's a Christmas theme. This challenge is to get you thinking out side the box, meaning away from traditional Christmas colours.

My Aunt was visiting from Darwin recently and she showed me a card she made using the colours black and white which was very different for her, she just loves the traditional colours. So that was my inspiration for this challenge. Now I couldn't find a picture of what I had in mind but I found this one on marthastewart.com and loved it, so were going with it. I love this funky Christmas Tree it's so cute.

Use what ever colours you can see in the picture to inspire your creation. You don't need to use all the colours just the one's that appeal to you.

To help you with the colours -I can see Whisper White, Basic Black, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Metallic Silver.

Entries are due in by the 19th December, 7.00pm Qld time. It's a bit earlier this month because we will be heading to the Gold Coast for a few days before Christmas. Can't wait.

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
