Unscripted Sketches #74.

A sketch challenge from Unscripted Sketches, a great site I found through Gardenia at A Little Less Useless, who is on the design team. I went with a Christmas theme, I've been wanting to play with Dasher since I got him and hadn't had a chance, until now. Isn't he gorgeous! I have heat embossed him in gold and inked around all the edges. The lower panel is the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder that I ran through the Big Shot. The centre panel is the Jolly Holiday DSP.

Iv'e added a tiny bit of Champagne Shimmer paint, new in the Stampin' Up! catalogue, to the lower panel and 3 pearls. Hard to see in the photo's. This shimmer paint is so cool!

CD Holder.

Hi, I have been meaning to show you this for a while now. I made this CD Holder with photo's from the 2010 Stampin' Up! Convention for the Passion 4 Paper girls that where unable to attend. To show them what they missed out on. ;) I also made a couple extra for good friends Karen & Natasha. The inspiration came from Shannon West. I used the Circle Scissor Plus, the Life Definitions stamp Set, the Simple Serif Mini alphabet & Numbers set and on the inside one of the images from the Tiny Tags set in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

Hope your having a great week.

Thanks Shannon.

Exciting news, Julie is back online with her updated blog Stampin Up Jewls, it looks amazing. So head on over there to see what she has been up to, it's worth the visit.

My card today is a case from Shannon West (Stampin' Up! US head office). At convention Shannon showed us lots of great ways to use the Circle Scissor Plus and this was my favorite. I have only changed it a tiny bit.

The Circle Scissor Plus is a little tricky getting use to but once you have a play with it you will love it.

Tips for using Circle Scissor Plus:
1. I use Dotto repositionable adhesive to sick the card on the glass plate, that way the card won't slip around while cutting.
2. Don't press too hard while cutting. I find I get a better, smother cut if I use even pressure, not too hard.
