Every Moment.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out. Sophie Zadeh from Stampin' Up! gave us an excellent water colouring class at the Regional training event. She showed us how to get depth and shadow when water colouring. And a few other tips and tricks. I've used the very lovely Every Moment stamp set that we received. Added a Scallop Trim Border, a satin bow and a bit of bling to finish it off. It did take quite a while to make but I think it was worth it.

Unscripted Sketches #74.

A sketch challenge from Unscripted Sketches, a great site I found through Gardenia at A Little Less Useless, who is on the design team. I went with a Christmas theme, I've been wanting to play with Dasher since I got him and hadn't had a chance, until now. Isn't he gorgeous! I have heat embossed him in gold and inked around all the edges. The lower panel is the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder that I ran through the Big Shot. The centre panel is the Jolly Holiday DSP.

Iv'e added a tiny bit of Champagne Shimmer paint, new in the Stampin' Up! catalogue, to the lower panel and 3 pearls. Hard to see in the photo's. This shimmer paint is so cool!

Recipe
Stamp sets: Dasher, Tiny Tags
Card: Early espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Punch: Jewellery Tag Medium
Tools: Circle Scissor Plus, Big Shot-Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, mat pack & tool, dauber, heat gun, buddy

Swaps.

Hi, I am currently at Brisbane Stampin' Up! Regional's. I really love attending Stampin' Up! events where I get to meet and catch up with other demonstrator friends, learn new techniques and have lots of fun. I also love to swap cards and ideas with other demonstrators. I made three different cards to swap all using the same technique, Shadow Dancing, but with different stamp sets.
Shadow Dancing is where you first stamp an image in Craft Whisper White ink, let dry, then using a stamp a ma jig stamp again but slightly over to one side, in the same colour ink as the card. It gives a really cool 3D effect.

On my Friends card I have used the Friends Never Fade stamp set in Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White. Adding a couple of black brads, black ribbon and Black scallop square punched out shapes. I have also ruffed up the Melon Mambo edges with the cutter kit. Hard to see in this photo but I have added a bit of dazzling diamonds to the centre of the flower.

On my Merry Christmas card I have used the Contempo Christmas stamp set in Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White. Adding silver brads and Old Olive ribbon. The greeting is on a die shape from the Lots of Tags die then layered on a wide oval punched out shape. Again I have ruffed up the Real Red edges with the cutter kit.

My Party card is great for teenage boys. Using the Extreme Guitar and Extreme Elements stamp sets on Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White card. The greeting and Party this way arrow are from the Party this Way stamp set.

I'll have lots of great swaps to show you next week.

Thinking of You Teressa.

My good friend Teressa is layed up in bed for a while so I made her a Thinking of You card. I had lots of fun using some of new my goodies from the new Catalogue. The new In Colours, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride & Pear Pizzazz are just beautiful, I know I'll be using these a lot. I really love the new Two-Step Owl punch, he is so gorgeous. I have also used my favorite embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper, adding little Jewel Pearls, another favorite. The greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

On the inside of the card I've used the Scallop Trim Boarder punch with the Greenhouse Gala DSP and one of the really cool images from the Extreme Elements stamp set on the background. And of course I had to add more pearls. The only thing missing is ribbon, But I just couldn't fit it in anywhere. Sometime, not very often, you don't need ribbon. :)

Thinging of You Teressa and I hope your back on your feet again soon.

DSP: Greenhouse Gala

Thank you card.

Good morning, this is one of the thank you cards I made for my Stamp Club girls this month. They were all much the same but using different DSP from the sampler pack. I have inked the lovely flower from Friends Never Fade stamp set with Stampin' Write markers then stamped onto white card. The greeting is stamped with StazOn black ink. I then covered the whole circle with Crystal Effects for a stunning glossy finish. The flower image kind of smudges leaving a watercolour effect. Very cool! The larger circle was cut with the Big Shot, Circles #2 die.

The colours are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.

Have a great day.

Flying Pop Up Butterfly's.

Hi, today's card is based on Brenda Quintana's Flying Pop Up card. My good friend and road trip buddy, Marcelle had it in her project folder and when I saw it I had to make one. The front of the card is looking through a window and when you open it.......

...the butterfly's pop up and fly. I love it. I have used the new Greenhouse Gala DSP which I also love, with the All a Flutter butterfly stamp, coloured with a blender pen. The flowers are hand cut from the DSP. The greetings are from the Wonderful Favorites and the new Perfect Punches stamp sets.

I gave this card to my Mother-In law for her birthday today.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: All a Flutter, Wonderful Favorites, Perfect Punches
Card: Baja Breeze, Choc chip, Whisper White
DSP: Greenhouse Gala
Ink: Choc Chip, Baja Breeze

Tool Box for Dad.

Hi, Happy Sunday and Happy Fathers Day. Since it's fathers Day today instead of showing you a Scrap Page I thought I would show you this fantastic Tool Box designed by my talented friend and fellow demonstrator, Julie Hansen, Stampin Up Jewls. Julie showed us how to make this at our last group meeting. Isn't she clever!
Jamie has filled this one with a mini screw driver set and some chocolates for his Dad.
I made this next one for Jamie to store is tools in.

I also made quite a few Real Red tool boxes for the school Father Day stall. They looked pretty good. Sorry no photo as I only had 4 days notice to make them. Someone is not very good at giving me notes from school.

Anyway I hope you all have a fantastic day today.
