It's time for challenge #14 and yes it's a Christmas theme. Isn't this knitted reindeer just too cute! I found him at Martha Stewart.com.

So use the pic as your inspiration. The colours are Riding Hood Red/Real Red, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla and you can add a bit of Gold too if you like.

Hi, I'm a bit late with this months challenge, there has been a lot happening lately, so here it is. My sister in-law is pregnant with her first baby, it's so exciting, so I thought I'd use a picture of a baby nursery for this months challenge. (I think she's having a girl.) Isn't this a beautiful room.

So just make a card, scrap page or decorator item using the picture as your inspiration.

The colours are : Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Whisper White.

For challenge #12 I've picked this photo of the Cake from my cousins Wedding just a few weeks ago. Red and black colour theme's at weddings are quite popular these days and doesn't this cake look amazing... And it was really yummy.

So the colours are : Whisper White, Basic Black and Real Red.

Use the photo as your inspiration. Does not have to be Wedding related.

Hi, this months challenge is my sewing box. I love the flower design on the box and I think it makes a great challenge for us to try.

Leah's Monthly Challenge #10

I had so much fun making the Dino invites I thought I would stay on that theme for the monthly challenge. The inspiration picture is a dona cover Jamie received for his birthday from his Aunty Karen. She is so good at picking linen and Jamie just loves it.

The colours are: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.

If you don't have these colours just use something similar. Use the pic as your inspiration for a card, scrap page or 3D item.

Then email me your creation to stampin.with.leah@live.com.au or leave a link in the comment section of this post to your creation.

All entries are due in by Friday 31st July 7.00pm. So you have plenty of time.

Here are my sample cards. This first one I've used Ocean Commotion and Cute and Curly stamp sets and I've used the crimper for the background. I love it, I've been crimping everything in sight.

This next card I've used the Crazy for Cupcakes set putting crystal effects on the flame and sprinkles. It's much like the cupcakes we had at Jamie's party :)

Leah Monthly Challenge #9

It's time to get inspired for another challenge.

For Challenge #9 were going with the colours from the Bold Brights colour family.

The colours are: Lovely Lilac, Pink Passion, Only Orange, Gable Green and Whisper White.

There aren't really any rules, just let the picture inspire your creation weather it be a card, scrap page or 3d item. If you don't have all the colours just use something similar.

Then email me a picture of your creation or link it to your blog with a comment in this post.

The first one is using the Big Bold Birthday stamp set. A really fun card for kids, I gave this one to my niece last night.

And this card I used the Trendy Trees stamp set. Yes I used a tree to make a flower :) I was inspired by a card I saw on Kim Badelt blog. You can see Kim's card here. It's much nicer than mine. It's was a real challenge for me using these colours but don't let that stop you having a go.

Leah's Monthly Challenge # 8

Hi, I'm a bit late with this month's challenge, due to being away at Convention, anyway here it is. It's a photo of a gorgeous dona cover I again found at my sister's house.

The colours are Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Regal Rose & Whisper White.

Use this pic as your inspiration for a card, scrap page or anything else you might think of.

I used the Circle Circus stamp set and the Best Yet stamp set. (level 1 hostess) This card was easy and lots of fun playing with all the circles. As you can see I used lots and lots of circle punches.

Leah's Monthly Challenge #7

I'm a bit late with Challenge # 7, with all the excitement of the new catalogue. So here it is. I saw this gorgeous pic on Martha Stewart.com and just had to use it for this months challenge. ( So cute)

The colours are Pink Pirouette/Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze/Bashful Blue, Barely Banana & Whisper White. You can also throw in Creamy Caramel if you like.

So use this pic to inspire your creation. A card, scrap page or something else. Does not have to be Easter related. If you don't have all these colours don't worry just use what you have.

Because I'm heading off to Convention at the end of the month, can all entries be in by Monday the 27th April 7.00pm Brisbane time. I know I'm not giving you as much time this month. Sorry!

Ok, here is my sample card using the new Good Friend stamp set. I love this birdie. I used the Defining Alphabet set for "Easter" and the Short & Sweet set for "wishes". Also used the scallop edge punch and both oval punches. And some Chunky Sprinkles on his wing.



For my little egg basket I used the Family Fabourites stamp set. I used the football for the eggs. The handle is made using the scallop edge punch with silver brads to hold it in place. Rebecca thinks it's way too small to use for an Easter Egg Hunt and wants me to make her a much bigger one, to fit in lots and lots of Easter eggs. :)


So I hope you have fun with it and come up with something amazing.

Hi, it's time for Challenge #6. For this challenge I have taken this photo of a dona cover to inspire us. And again I found it at my sister's house, she has the most gorgeous linen.

The colours are : choc chip, sahara sand, always artichoke/mellow moss, tempting turquoise, pixie pink and whisper white.

My daughter Rebecca is featured again this month, the colours worked well. This was just before we moved into our then new house, March 07. We wanted to paint all the kids rooms before we moved in. Rebecca picked turquoise for her feature wall. And it looks fantastic.

Leah's Monthly Challenge #5

Hi everyone it's time for Leah's Monthly Challenge #5. These months are just flying by. This month our inspiration comes from this paper napkin I pinched from my sister. She always has great napkins, she got it from one of those cheap shops. I really love the bright bold colours (great for summer) and thought this would be a fun challenge. The colours are : Pumpkin Pie, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Eastern Blooms from the summer mini is the stamp set used on this card. I love how these bright colours look together.

This is a 6x6 scrap page using the same stamp set and a Wild Wasabi Carousel Note. I've gone around the edgers of the scallops with the Basic Black Stampin Write Marker.

It's a New Year Challenge this month. And this is the inspiration. I found it at MyspaceChamp.com. Isn't it fun! So just like the other challenges. Pick out the colours, shapes, words, anything that inspires you to create your card or scrap page. ( It doesn't have to be new year related) Then email it to me at stampinwithleah@live.com.au or leave a link to where it is on comments. Or you can just send it to me.

The main colours are : Basic Black, Whisper White, Going Grey and More Mustard.

The extra colours are : Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore and Yo yo Yellow. You don't need to use all these colours just the ones that you like.

All entries in by Monday 26th January 2009, 7.00pm Brisbane time. That give you 3 weeks, plenty of time.

challenge samples

This is a cute 10.5 x 10.5 cm card using Eastern Blooms (new) and Say it with Scallops (new) stamp sets. I've stuck with the main colours, don't they look great together! I've used

1 1/4" & 1 3/8" square punches popped up on dimensional and added a bit of Basic Grey taffeta ribbon.

I had lots of fun making this 6 x 6" scrap page. This layout is a great way to use lots of photos on the one page. The words are stamped using the Rough Edge Alphabets set, I've used lots of punches, 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1/2" squares, 1 1/4", 3/4" circles and the corner rounder. The buttons a stuck on with mini glue dots and I stapled a bit of black grosgrain ribbon to the side.

I hope this gets you inspired to join in with the challenge, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Ink : VersaMark, Taken with Teal

Card :Metallic Silver, Taken with Teal, Whisper White, Basic Black

Punches : scallop edge new, scallop circle, large star, 1" circle

Accessories : Silver embossing powder, Grosgrain ribbon, brads, rhinestone brad from pretties kit, dimenionals

I've had a huge week with all the end of school things, but so much fun. I attended the grade 2 Fairy Tale Ball today. It was way too hot for dancing but that didn't stop us. I also had to keep ice blocks frozen, chicken chips hot and sandwiches fresh. hmm... Luckily my friend runs the tuck shop. Thanks Deb. I still fitted in the last lunch of the year with the lovely ladies I do lunch with every week. I will miss the lunches during the holidays, but it's not the same when there are 20 kids tagging along. lol We plan to hit the park instead. And Sonya's pool.

Leah's Monthly Challenge #3

It's time for my monthly challenge #3 and of course it's a Christmas theme. This challenge is to get you thinking out side the box, meaning away from traditional Christmas colours.

My Aunt was visiting from Darwin recently and she showed me a card she made using the colours black and white which was very different for her, she just loves the traditional colours. So that was my inspiration for this challenge. Now I couldn't find a picture of what I had in mind but I found this one on marthastewart.com and loved it, so were going with it. I love this funky Christmas Tree it's so cute.

Use what ever colours you can see in the picture to inspire your creation. You don't need to use all the colours just the one's that appeal to you.

To help you with the colours -I can see Whisper White, Basic Black, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Metallic Silver.

Entries are due in by the 19th December, 7.00pm Qld time. It's a bit earlier this month because we will be heading to the Gold Coast for a few days before Christmas. Can't wait.

This month it's my birthday so I decided to use a birthday cake as the inspiration for this months challenge. Doesn't this cake from pinkcakebox.com look soooo yummy! I had so much fun looking for the right cake. Wouldn't you love to have this cake? Looks to good to eat.

The colours are : Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla.

Leah's Monthly Challenge! #1

That's right I'm starting a Monthly Challenge. The first week of each month I will post the Challenge, then you have two weeks to make your entry- card/scrap page. The last week of each month I will post the winner and all the entries for everyone to see. I hope these challenges help to inspire you to try something a bit different then you would normally try, and to have a go at new techniques, and most importantly to have fun.

Ok, so the photo below is the inspiration for the first challenge. My Little Man, just loves Elmo so I couldn't resist getting these cute singlets for him. All you have to do is take the colours, shapes or both, however the photos inspires you and create a card/scrap page.
