Sunday Scrap - Big Blow.

Hi, Happy Sunday. For today's Scrap Page I've used this weeks sketch challenge #214 from Pencil Lines. I just discovered Pencil Lines the international sketch challenge blog this week. With designers from all over the world I'm sure to get plenty of inspiration. This weeks sketch was designed by the super talented Laura Vegas. This sketch was great for me as I struggle a bit with multiple photos.

And here is my page. Zach again, the camera just loves him, having a bubble bath.

I've used Vellum circles to represent the bubbles and the Extreme Elements stamp set in the background. The Vellum bubbles are really good for covering up .... things. You know what I mean!

Recipe (All Products are from Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets: Defining Alphabet, Extreme Elements, Dotted Lines Wheel
Card: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Vellum
DSP: Elegant Soiree
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Punches: 1/2", 3/4" 1 1/4", 1 3/8" circles, scallop circle
Accessories: baja breeze ribbon, linen thread

That's it from me today, have a great Sunday.

Sunday Scrap - Up, Up & Away.

I finally got some Scraping time. Today's page is of Alex when he was 3 years old, as most 3 year olds he loved to dress up and his Super Man costume was one of his favorites. There is not much stamping on this page just the Dotted Lines Wheel I rolled onto the metal edge tag. The Dotted Lines Wheel is excellent for Journaling.

Recipe
Stamp: Dotted Lines Wheel

Ink" Daffodil Delight
Punches: word window, 1 3/8" circle
Accessories: Pacific Point ribbon, silver Jumbo brad, metal edge tag
Tools: Big Shot-Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Timeless Type Jnr Alphabet dies
Have a super Sunday.

Baby Tees.

Wow it's Thursday already.

I'd like to wish my very good friend Christine a very Happy Birthday today. I hope you have a fantastic day.

No, this isn't the card I made for Christine. She would freak out if I did. :) I want to keep Christine's card a surprise for her. This is a cute baby card using the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel. I just wheeled along Whisper White card and coloured in with Stampin' Write markers. Then add some ribbon and a few rows of different colours punched with the Scallop Edge Border punch.

Two of my kids teachers are pregnant, but we just found out they are both having boys. So Ill have to make some boy baby cards now.

Have a great day.

Poppin Pastels.

Hi, hope you all had a great weekend. We went to my nieces soccer game, it was so good to get out in the sunshine and fresh air, they won 6-nil. I also got lots of stampin done, I've been playing with my new goodies. So much fun.
Today I'm going to show you a card we made at a workshop a while back, just found it in my photo file. It's using the Poppin' Pastels technique with the Always in Bloom wheel. We inked the wheel with VersaMark ink and wheeled it across the white card then using daubers added colour with the Stampin Pastels. This technique is really fun because you don't really know what it will look like until your finished. The greeting and beautiful butterfly are from the Great Friend stamp set, which is making a come back in the new Catalogue.
Recipe
Stamp Sets: Great Friends, Always in Bloom wheel
Card: Kraft, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun, Choc chip
Punch: corner rounder, photo corner
Accessories: Choc Chip ribbon, silver brads, daubers, Stampin' Pastels

Enjoy.

The inside.

Friends 24-7.

Hi, isn't this week going fast! It's Zach's 3rd birthday today and I didn't get to make his card yet. I'm going to have a fun craft day with friends tomorrow so I'm hoping to get it made then, if I don't chat too much. I also need a Wedding card for Saturday so I better get my act into gear.
.
I'm so excited, my 55 Chev card made it to the Top Pick over at Just Add ink. Thanks so much for all your fabulous comments. They are much appreciated.
.
Ok today I have a card I made a little while ago using the Friends 24-7 stamp set. Don't we all love this set! The main image has been stamped twice and looks a bit fuzzy in the photo so don't think you need to get your eye sight checked. The background was wheeled with the Friendly Words wheel. I also wheeled the die cut blooms and scrunched then up a bit. I really like how this card looks.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Friends 24-7, Friendly Words wheel
Card: Choc chip, Kraft, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Choc chip, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette
Punches: 1" circle
Tools: mat pack & tool, stamp a ma jig, wheel guide
Accessories: Die Cut Blooms Again, Pink pirouette ribbon, dauber

Have a Fabulous Friday.

Medallion - Emboss Resist.

Hi, hope your all having a great weekend. My Internet is on go slow again today so it's taking me forever to do this post. I've had lots going on with my new baby nephew being born and my sister in-law and her children staying with us. It's so great that they are here, we don't get to see them very much as they live so far away.
We had great fun on Friday night with the Passion 4 Paper girls coming over to have a play with the new toys/products in the Autumn-Winter Mini. It's always great to get together with the girls. Thanks Christine for making us Susi, so yummy. And thank you to Julie for the fantastic DVD you made for us, the DVD cover is just gorgeous. I'll show you next time.
But now I have a card to show you, that we made at Amanda's yesterday. Using the new Medallion stamp. I think this is my favorite stamp in the Autumn-Winter mini and the new wheel Very Vintage. We used the emboss resist technique where we wheeled across the whisper white card then clear embossed the Medallion over the top, then using the brayer covered the whole card with Rich Razzelberry ink. (one of the new colours) Then wiped off the extra ink with a tissue. allowing the Very Vintage pattern to show through. Very cool! We finished the card off with coordinating Rich Razzelberry ribbon, silver brads and used the Big Shot with the Sizzlits 4-pack dies for the greeting.
Here is a close up.

Some of the girls made their card in Melon Mambo another new colour which looked just as stunning.

Recipe
Stamps: Medallion, Very Vintage wheel, Short & Sweet/Warm Words
Card: Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Rich Razzelberry
Tools: Big Shot, Sizzlits 4 pack dies, brayer, heat tool
Punch: oval
Accessories: clear embossing powder, buddy, Rich Razzelberry ribbon, silver brads, dimenionals

Spring Floral

Here is the other card we made yesterday. The only stamping on this one is with the Spring Floral wheel. We used it three ways, with VersaMark on the front of the card, with pink Pirouette on the inside and heat embossed on the ribbon. Did you know you can heat emboss on ribbon? So cool! I love the effect of the white embossing powder on the Pink Pirouette ribbon. The photo doesn't do it justice. That cute flower is made from 3 scallop circles. Amazingly I only saw it in the Idea Book & Catalogue this week. I don't know how many times I've looked through the catalogue and didn't see it. :) If you haven't spotted it yet it's on page 34 in the top left of the page.

Merry Christmas.

Wow what a crazy week, I'm finally all organized for Christmas. Just in time too.
I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a safe, fun Holiday Season.
I want to show you quickly (because I have to go to bed before Santa comes) the cute sleigh I made for the Passion 4 Paper girls. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the chocolate reindeer just the right size for the sleigh.

And here are some of the projects we made at the Christmas Class last Saturday. It was such a great day. Thank you again to the ladies that attended.

Wedding Pocket Card.

Wow what a huge weekend we've had. We had a family wedding on Saturday (my Hubby side), so lots of family had arrived from all over, with three groups staying at our house. Lucky we have a big house. On Sunday we had a bbq with most of the wedding guests, it was so great to spend time with everyone. It's not often we have so many of the family in the same place at the same time. When I sort through the photo's I'll put some up to show you. My boys looked so handsome in their suits and although Rebecca didn't wear a dress she still looked gorgeous.
So here is the Wedding card I made for the bride and groom. A Pocket Card using the So Swirly wheel and the Together Forever stamp set with silver embossing. I love how this card works. In the mad rush of getting 6 of us ready for the wedding I asked my Hubby to write on the card, he picked it up and said "but where do I write?" men :) I also had Alex's subject selection for senior that day and we didn't get home until 1.45pm with us having to be ready by 3.00pm it got a bit crazy, but we made it on time all looking very glamours.
So we have being having late nights with lots of talking and lots of cuppa's while every one's here. Our last group of house guests will be leaving for NZ tomorrow :( so then we'll be able to get some sleep. But it is so wonderful to have them here and I haven't had to cook a thing for days.
It's Alex's birthday today he is now 15. I am so proud of him, of the man he is becoming and the decisions he is making about his future. My baby is all grown up. He shares his birthday with my sister/best friend. Happy birthday to you both.

Life really is Beautiful.

Friends Scrap Page

It's Friday already, It's only a few more days until the kids go back to school. Yeh! Don't get me wrong, I do love having the extra time to spend with them and the sleeping in is wonderful, they just wanta eat all the time and it seems like a lot more house work needs to be done when their home. You know what I mean! Little Zach will miss them terribly when they go back.
So I finally got some computer time. Today I have a 8x8 scrap page to show you featuring the gorgeous Friends 24-7 stamp set, Friendly Words Wheel, the new eyelet boarder punch and die cut flowers Blooms Again. I wheeled the Friendly Words wheel over the die cut flower then scrunched it up and inked the edgers to give it a distressed look. I really like this effect. Then I used the eyelet border punch for the strip above the DSP and also to make a sweet corner for the bird image. We had a lot of fun making this at Lisa's.

Ink: VersaMark, creamy caramel, not quite navy
Card: kraft, not quite navy, very vanilla
