Teen Shaker Card - Project Life by Stampin' Up!

This bright, fun shaker card is for my niece.
Shaker cards are so much fun to make and to receive.
Using Project Life by Stampin' Up! Everyday Adventure card Collection. The heart was already cut out for me.
I really like the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder used for the background.
The Happy Birthday greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners set.
Other products used What's Up punch (arrow), bakers twine, window sheet and In Colour sequins.

19th Birthday Card.

Yes another male card. My oldest son turned 19 this week, all my kids have their birthdays really close together which makes for a busy couple of months and lots of cake. 19 is such a great age to be, lots of independence with not much responsibility. I tried to reflect in this card the passing of time while enjoying being 19 and to make the most of this time of his life.

Stamps set used in this card are Clockworks, Memorable Moments, Oh Goddie and Off the Grid. DSP Soho Subway. Colours used Basic Black, Island Indigo, Pool Party. Other products are Chalk Talk framelits, 1 1/4" circle punch, Gold embossing powder (watch), Pool Party embossing powder (grid), bakers twine, rhinestone and smooch spritz.

Have a great Friday Friends.

Sweet 16 Card.

A Sweet 16 card for my daughter.

It was my daughters birthday last week, so exciting. She didn't have school so we spent the day together doing special girly things. Like shopping, lunch, a trip to the Dept of Main Roads. Yes she now has her learners drivers licence!  When you live in a house full of boys these days are rear and very special.

For her card I used the New Epic Day This and That DSP, Epic Day This and That Designer Stickers, Remember This and That Rotary Stamp and the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

Have a great day.

Graduation Card.

My baby graduated from year 12 a couple of weeks ago, I'm so proud of all he has accomplishes this year and of the young adult he is becoming. I did make him a graduation card but didn't take a photo of it yet, I'll have to find it in his messy room, but here is the card I made for a special friend of his who has been a great support for him this year.

I cased this card from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue, just changed it a bit to suit.

Thanks for visiting.

Sweet 16.

A super fast card for a male sweet 16th birthday. The Extreme Elements and Extreme Guitar stamp sets are just perfect for teens. The Shara Sand background is randomly stamped with the cool images from Extreme Elements in different colours. The Extreme Guitar image was stamped then while the stamp is still on the card I dragged it to one side giving the image the appearance of movement. Then added the greeting with a bit of ribbon and a couple of brads. I love that there are now 6 colours in each brad pack, making it so very easy to cordinate colours.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Extreme Elements, Extreme Guitar, Perfect Punches, Crazy for Cupcakes
Card: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, River Rock, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand
Punches: Oval, Round Tab
Tools: Stamp a ma jig
Accessories: More Mustard brads, Night of Navy ribbon

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #44

Oops, I just realized I have used the wrong pink for Makeesha colour challenge. The colours are supposed to be Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink. I have used Regal Rose instead of Pretty in Pink. Hope this will be ok.

I have heat embossed the Woodgrain background stamp with white embossing powder and clear embossed the beautiful butterfly's. I really like how this turned out. The Marina Mist panel is dry embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. Then a white scallop edge, a bit of piercing , some ribbon and of course rhinestones. I've been using the new rhinestone Jewels on everything lately.

Thanks for a great colour challenge Makeesha, even if I did get it a little bit wrong.

Recipe
Stamp Sets: Woodgrain background, Tiny Tags
Card: Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Marina Mist
Punches: 1/2" & 3/4" circles, scallop edge border
Tools: Big Shot-Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Beautiful Butterfly's Bigz die, Mat pack & tool, heat tool, buddy
Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, white & clear embossing powder, Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon

Swaps.

Hi, I am currently at Brisbane Stampin' Up! Regional's. I really love attending Stampin' Up! events where I get to meet and catch up with other demonstrator friends, learn new techniques and have lots of fun. I also love to swap cards and ideas with other demonstrators. I made three different cards to swap all using the same technique, Shadow Dancing, but with different stamp sets.
Shadow Dancing is where you first stamp an image in Craft Whisper White ink, let dry, then using a stamp a ma jig stamp again but slightly over to one side, in the same colour ink as the card. It gives a really cool 3D effect.

On my Friends card I have used the Friends Never Fade stamp set in Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White. Adding a couple of black brads, black ribbon and Black scallop square punched out shapes. I have also ruffed up the Melon Mambo edges with the cutter kit. Hard to see in this photo but I have added a bit of dazzling diamonds to the centre of the flower.

On my Merry Christmas card I have used the Contempo Christmas stamp set in Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White. Adding silver brads and Old Olive ribbon. The greeting is on a die shape from the Lots of Tags die then layered on a wide oval punched out shape. Again I have ruffed up the Real Red edges with the cutter kit.

My Party card is great for teenage boys. Using the Extreme Guitar and Extreme Elements stamp sets on Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White card. The greeting and Party this way arrow are from the Party this Way stamp set.

I'll have lots of great swaps to show you next week.

I've used a new Hostess stamp set Playful Pieces coming out in the new 2010/2011 Idea Book Catalogue on the 1st of September. This set is really fun to play with.

Sunday Scrap

I've been thinking about my oldest son a lot lately, he is turning 16 this week, scary. So my Sunday Scrap page today is Alex, Almost 16. The base is Choc Chip with Tangerine Tango & Baja Breeze for the accent colours. The title "Almost" is chipboard. I used the punched out negative for the "16" and the little bracket is made from double punching with the curly label punch. I've also used lots of different brads & eyelets. Julie has inspired me to use up my scraps.
Recipe

Tote-ally Nina.

It's my nieces 21st birthday today, it totally amazes me how fast the years go by. I have spent the last couple of days helping out with the party plans. She decided to have a very non traditional 21st party, breakfast in the park, which was really fun. We had relay races, egg & spoon races, thong throwing competition and lots of other fun activities. But of course she is heading off for a night on the town with her girl friends. While I headed home for a nap.
.
Here is the card I made for her using the Tote-ally Tess stamp set. I have tried to make her look like my niece, paper pieced her clothes and gave her a soccer ball, she loves to play soccer. You may notice a couple products in this card you haven't seen before, just a sneak peak from the new catalogue for you. :)

TESC#118.

When I saw Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #118 I knew right away what I was going to do. With the Crazy for Cupcake stamp set and the Big Shot I made this fun girly teen birthday card. With quite a few of my daughters friends having birthdays in the last few weeks my supply of cards for teens is getting low so I need to stock up again. It's always good to have a few on hand. This is a 13x13cm square card so I needed to make an envelope to fit. You can see part of it behind the card.
Recipe
Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Rich Razzelberry
Marker: Old Olive
Card: Rich Razzelberry, Whisper White, Pale Plum
DSP: Cottage Wall
Punches: scallop edge, corner rounder
Tools: Big Shot-Timeless Type Jnr Alpha, stamp a ma jig

Happy Birthday Rebecca.

Today is my baby girl's 12th birthday. She had lots of fun opening her presents before rushing off to school. Tonight I'm taking her on a girls only shopping spree to pick an outfit for her party. She is having a Disco Party on the weekend with a disco ball, fairy lights, glow thingies, karaoke, and no party is complete without cupcakes. So I thought I'd show you the invitations I made cause I'm really pleased how they turned out. I made 18 of these, big job.

Here is the front.

Here's the back.
And here is the inside.

I've used the gorgeous Sweet Always DSP, just perfect for these invitations.
Now I better go and make her Birthday Card before I head out for lunch with my friend Margaret for her birthday. Lots of cake for me today.
Have a good one.

Happy 15th.

My very good friends daughter has just turned 15. Wow! I first meet them when Nadia (the daughter) was only 6 years old and I have been lucky enough to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady. So the card I made for her is lively, fun and funky with bling. Just like her.

I embossed the chipboard "1" in white so it would be all shiny, and blinged the "5". The photo is not real good. But it is very blingy. Is that a real word? Probably not. Anyway, I used the stampin write marker to colour the inside of the letters in "happy birthday".

Recipe
Stamp Set : Outlined for fun
Ink : Basic Brown, Old Olive-stampin write marker
Accessories : Die Cut Blooms (Spring Mini), On Board Lots of letters, embossing powder white, heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds, heat tool, grosgrain ribbon Always Artichoke, dimensionals

Have a great weekend.

Sweet

Mel's come up with a great challenge for us this week. Polished Stone, I've used it as the background of my card. She has a great pictorial your can see here. It's a really fun technique, you should give it a try. Again I used off cuts of white gloss card and then worked around that. The pink ring on the choc scallop is stamped with Boho background stamp set. And I so love the little flower buckle.
I stamped the word "sweet" in the corner, because I gave the card to the lovely Amanda who turned sweet 16.
