A Gift from Julie.

Another weekend over with a new week beginning. I picked up Alex's new computer yesterday so now he can play his new game Sims 3 and now I'm not bugging him all the time to get off so I can get on. Yeh!!
Anyway I want to show you the gift box Julie (Stampin Up Jewls) made for me. She is so clever and very good with a craft knife. She used the Playful Petals stamp set. I haven't even opened it to see whats inside :) I just like to look at it. A lot of work and love went into making this box. Thank you so much Julie.

Mojo Turns 100 Day 7

I had a play with Mojo Mondays sketch - Mojo Turns 100 Day 7. As it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards I decided to make a Christmas themed card using the Season of Joy stamp set (one of my favorites for Christmas). This took a little while with inking all the edgers in Choc Chip ink with a dauber. But I think it was worth the effort. I also added Crystal Effects to the flower.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Season on Joy
Ink: choc chop, riding hood red
Card: choc chip, riding hood red, kraft, very vanilla
Punch: 1/2" circle, 1 1/4" square
Accessories: dauber, jumbo brad, twill tape, crystal effects, dimensionals

Thanks for looking.

String Spinner Card.

I've had lots of fun lately making string spinner cards. This one is using the Tart & Tangy Stamp set with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Choc Chip card stock. The punches used are scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle and 1 1/4' circle. And just for some extra fun the tangerine spinner part is embossed with a mix of clear embossing powder and orange tang. So it's now a Scratch & Sniff String Spinner Card.

Jamie's Dino Disco Party.

Hi, I got Jamie's Birthday Party scrapped recently and I quite like how it turned out. I used Circle Circus stamp set in the back ground and DSP Good Morning Sunshine. The amazing Dino cake was made by my good friend Maree (thank you). She tried to made it as much like the invitations as she could. She did a fantastic job and it was very yummy.

All the kids had a great time, even Nana joined in with the games.

Wedding Pocket Card.

Wow what a huge weekend we've had. We had a family wedding on Saturday (my Hubby side), so lots of family had arrived from all over, with three groups staying at our house. Lucky we have a big house. On Sunday we had a bbq with most of the wedding guests, it was so great to spend time with everyone. It's not often we have so many of the family in the same place at the same time. When I sort through the photo's I'll put some up to show you. My boys looked so handsome in their suits and although Rebecca didn't wear a dress she still looked gorgeous.
So here is the Wedding card I made for the bride and groom. A Pocket Card using the So Swirly wheel and the Together Forever stamp set with silver embossing. I love how this card works. In the mad rush of getting 6 of us ready for the wedding I asked my Hubby to write on the card, he picked it up and said "but where do I write?" men :) I also had Alex's subject selection for senior that day and we didn't get home until 1.45pm with us having to be ready by 3.00pm it got a bit crazy, but we made it on time all looking very glamours.
So we have being having late nights with lots of talking and lots of cuppa's while every one's here. Our last group of house guests will be leaving for NZ tomorrow :( so then we'll be able to get some sleep. But it is so wonderful to have them here and I haven't had to cook a thing for days.
It's Alex's birthday today he is now 15. I am so proud of him, of the man he is becoming and the decisions he is making about his future. My baby is all grown up. He shares his birthday with my sister/best friend. Happy birthday to you both.

Life really is Beautiful.

Jessica's Party.

Hi, well this week has gone faster that last week so I'm just getting to the computer now.
I was very lucky to be invited to Jessica's 12th birthday party on the weekend were I showed Jessica and her friends a few craft projects. They had a lot of fun and really liked the projects they made.
But first here is the birthday card I made for Jessica using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.

And this is a covered photo book I made for her to put photo's from her party in.

This is the cute purse box we made, just the right size to fit the party bags into.

And this is the scrap page we made using the Good Friends stamp set.

Hopefully I'll be able to post the next challenge later today, we have a family wedding tomorrow and quite a few relatives are staying with us from New Zealand and NSW. It's going to be great seeing everyone. But now I'm off to the hairdresser, hopefully they can make me look glamours. ;)

Have a fabulous day.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. They always go way too fast, don't you think...
I was doing a bit of blog surfing and came across a Fan Fold Flower on Splitcoast Stampers designed by Bonnie Szwalkiewiez and just had to try it. It is sooo easy to make and very cute. After, I thought now for a card to put it on, remembering Makeesha's challenge this week is a sketch with a circle, I put the two together. Makeesha always has fantastic sketches.
I have used a couple of new products from the Spring Mini, the DSP Walk in the Park (gorgeous) and Jumbo Brads (lovin them) they come in 4 colours white, silver, vanilla and choc chip. I'm so excited choc chip brads. :)
Anyway here is my card.

Stamp Set: Echoes of Kindness (hostess)
Ink: basic gray
Card: basic gray, cameo coral, whisper white
DSP: walk in the park
Punches: eyelet boarder, 3/4" circle (behind flower)
