Other products used on this card are the Elegant Butterfly punch and pearls/rhinestones.

And here's the other card we made featuring the lovely flowers in the Hostess set Bloom with Hope, also in the new colours. This card was inspired by a card made by Claire Daly. The flowers are coloured with the Blendabilities (new alcohol markers.)

Ink Blowing.

Morning, hope your having a great week. I had a great time catching up with some crafty friends this week, we didn't get to play this time but we shared lots of ideas. Today I'm sharing another Ink Blowing card with you. I had lots of fun making these.
On this card I've used the colours Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe with the stamp set Six Sided Sampler. This technique works much better on watercolour paper. When using the Crisp Cantaloupe card (or other colours) the ink soaks through and tears. I have covered up the tear with the hexagons so you can't see the mess. I think I'll sick with using the watercolour paper for this technique in future.

Cute Scrapbook Page.

Good Morning, today's project is a very cute Scrapbook Page. I love this photo of my daughter when she was two and so cute which is why I titled this page "cuteness".

Using the Gingham Garden DSP, it's so bright and fun and just right for this project.

With a cluster of hearts from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and a cluster of flowers with the "You make me Happy" sentiment from the Hello Lovely stamp set. Did you notice the Melon Mambo flowers? I used the Simply Pressed Clay and molds to make these, so fun. I'm really loving the Banner trend right now and using the Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits dies makes for a quick and easy banner. Added a bit of Washi Tape here and there just because it looks great, I am fast becoming addicted to Washi Tape.

Have a great day.

Case - Ink Blowing Technique.

Hi, last week I found a really cool technique on Printrest by Debbie at Debbie's Designs  that I just had to try, Ink Blowing. This is so fun, I'm sure my kids have done this at school in the past. Basically it's just using a straw to blow ink around the card to make amazing backgrounds.
As Debbie suggests I used watercolour paper putting a drop of each colour from the re-inker onto the paper then just blow with a straw. I did try using basic card but the ink soaks in very quickly making it hard to spread when you blow.
I've used Strawberry Slush and Wisteria Wonder ink refills, as you can see the ink dries really dark. Stamp set is Perfectly You (Hostess) in the new Holiday Catalogue cut out with Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits.

This is really fun for little kids too.  Thank you Debbie for your inspiration. You can check out Debbie's Designs here.

Other products are Framelits Circle Collections, Elegant Butterfly & Bitty Butterfly punches, flower from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack, Grey ribbon, Rhinestones and a bit of Dazzling Diamonds on the butterfly's.

Tag It Birthday card.

Hi, today's card I made back over a month ago for my second  son's 12th Birthday. It's a Rubik's Cube card. I had given him a Rubik's Cube for Christmas, he had wanted one for a while and he mastered it in less than 24 hours. I can't even get one side completed before I become frustrated. Apparently the secret is to do with maths algorithms. No wonder I don't get it..... Anyway here is his Rubik's Cube card.

                                         And the inside.
It's a quick and easy card using the Tag It stamp set, square punch and Basic Black,  Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight markers. That chameleon  is so cute.

Have a great day.

SC 062/12

This weeks sketch over at Sunny Challenges & Creations,  came together really well for me. It was a great sketch to work with and I can see it working well for a Christmas card. As well as the sketch this weeks theme is "For the Girls" so this card will be going to a special friend.

The cute rubber boot stamp is from the Happy You hostess stamp set, DSP Floral Distric. Colours used are Rich Razzelberry, Baja Brezze, Daffdil Delight and Whisper White.
I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the lines on the Baja Breeze card. This is now my favorite thing to do, it's so quick and easy to add a couple of score line to a card to add a bit something extra.

So i hope you can join in with the Challenge this week.

A birthday card.

Hi, today I have to show you the birthday card I made for my niece for her 22nd birthday. It's a fun, quick card using punched out circles to make funky flowers. The stamp set used is Apple Blossoms (level 2 hostess set) retiring soon. The base is Confetti White card, it's just a bit stronger to hold the weight with the buttons. The DSP is Greenhouse Gala also retiring at the end of August.

Hopeing to do a challenge or two tonight, we'll see.
