Little Square Box.

I love this little square box, it's so cute. I found it while blog surfing on the weekend at Becky Roberts site Inking Idaho. It was so quick and easy to make. You know I love quick and easy! And it can be embellished any way you want. I used the Sale-A-Bration set Botanical Blooms with Berry Bliss DSP.

I am trying out a new daytime photo spot. Our Kittens/cats, (they had their first birthday this month and are not little anymore) decided my photo spot was a great place to have a snooze and have put a big dint in the box and hair all over the white cloth. So these photo's where taken out on the veranda which it good usless there's a breeze.

Until next time...

Mel's Weekly Challenge #9

Hi everyone, this week Mel's challenge was to make a card using Designer Series Paper, DSP. She made this challenge an easy one for people like me who can't read instructions properly. grin Sorry Mel.

On the weekend I found a pictorial for this cute little box, so I had to make one to match the card. More about the box in the next post.

It was so hard to pick which DSP to use because there all so gorgeous. In the end I went with Petals & Paisleys. I've used just one piece of DSP as the background. Added some ribbon, the large flower from the pretties kit, an old olive felt flower with a button. Stamped the greeting onto the round tab punch and added a strip of DSP. So very easy.

On the inside I stamped the rest of the greeting, Polka Dots & Paisley Stamp Set and added a strip of DSP punched with the scallop edge punch. Why not dress up the inside as well.

Isn't this little box so cute! And very easy to make too. Just the right size for a bracelet or necklace. It will be a perfect gift for one of my nieces.

If you want to have a go a Mel's challenge you've still got one more day, check out the guidelines at Mel's Stamping Haven.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Polka Dots & Paisley
DSP: Petals & Paisleys
Ink: tempting turquoise
Card: tempting turquoise, whisper white
Punches: round tab, scallop edge
Accessories: pretties kit, felt flower, button, mini glue dots, pop up glue dot, sticky strip on the box

Ocean Commotion.

Makeesha's Inspiration Challenge #4. I almost used polka dot punches SAB stamp set for this challenge but I've used it a lot lately (I love it, can do so much with it) but I though I better give it a rest tonight. So I went with the water theme and used Ocean Commotion from the summer mini catalogue. It turned out kinda like my daughters fish tank. :) Anyway the colours I pulled out of the image are Ballet Blue, So Saffron, Rose Red and Whisper White. I white embossed the gorgeous fish and popped him up with dimensionals. The strips on the side and the greeting are rub-ons, Love Birds.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Ocean Commotion new
Ink: VersaMark, Ballet Blue, So Saffron
Card: Whisper White, Ballet Blue, So Saffron
Punch: scallop edge new
Accessories: rub-ons Love Birds new, double stitched 1" ribbon rose red new, white embossing powder, buddy, heat tool, clear button, brads.

I did get to sleep in this morning and I did get chocolates, even though I bought them myself. grin.
Hope you had a great Valentines Day.

Friday, February 13

Love birds.

Kristina's colour inspiration #41. Riding hood red, basic black, basic grey & whisper white. I love these colours together, just stunning, so I've kept this card simple. I used real red in place of riding hood red. And the Love Birds rub-ons from the Summer Mini catalogue over lapping the black and white rub-ons. The photo's a shocker, it's hard to photograph black and it's been raining all day and all last night. Wish it would head down south.

Thanks for looking.

Love You Card.

This is a card I made for Mel's Jan swap using a Sale-A-Bration stamp set (Polka Dot Punches). It's a great card for Valentines Day, which is tomorrow. So you still have time to whip up something for that special someone.

Recipe
Stamps: Polka Dot Punches SAB, Short & Sweet, Polka Dot Background
Colours: Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate, Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink
Punches: 1/2" circle, 1 1/4 " circle, word window
Accessories: VersaMark, white embossing powder, buddy, heat tool, satin ribbon purely pomegranate, taffeta ribbon pretty in pink.

Mel's Weekly Challenge #7

This is the other card I did on the weekend. It's for Mel's Weekly Challenge #7. This week we had to use a wheel coloured with stampin write markers. I cheated just a little by inking the wheel, Petals, all in one colour first them I cleaned off some of the flowers with a baby wipe then used a marker to colour them a different colour. That way I could use River Rock on the wheel. I also rolled the Lots of Dots wheel , from the new summer mini, across the top of the card.
Recipe
Stamp Sets: Polka Dots & Paisley, Petals Wheel, Lots of Dots wheel new
Ink: Groovy Guava, River Rock, Ruby Red
Stampin Write Marker: Ruby Red
Card: Very Vanilla, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Ruby Red
Punches: scallop edge new, large oval, designer label
Accessories: double stitched ribbon groovy guava, dimensionals

Bye for now.
