More Playgroup Cards.

Today I have to show you some more birthday cards I made for Playgroup. These Sesame Street characters are made with lots of different punches and are so fun to make. Great for toddlers learning to count. The greeting is from the Outlined for Fun stamp set and the numbers are from the Timeless Type Junior Alpha dies.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi and welcome to Sunday Scrap, before we get into the scrap page I want to share with you something very exciting that happened yesterday. I'm so excited that I have to tell everyone. My son Jamie passed his Black Belt grading at Tae Kwon Do. I'm so very proud of him, he has worked very hard these last few years to achieve his goal of becoming a black belt.

Here he is in action, about to smash through the timber.

And here he is with his trainer proudly wearing his black belt.

What an exciting day we had and of course we had to celebrate with a huge feast at Sizzler, Jamie's first time there. He went back to the desert bar 3 times. Very Yummy! Now I have more special memories to scrapbook.

So today's Sunday Scrap page is of Jamie when he was 2 years old with our new puppy Scruff.
I have kept this page quite simple as there are a lot of bright colours in the photo.

TESC#118.

When I saw Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #118 I knew right away what I was going to do. With the Crazy for Cupcake stamp set and the Big Shot I made this fun girly teen birthday card. With quite a few of my daughters friends having birthdays in the last few weeks my supply of cards for teens is getting low so I need to stock up again. It's always good to have a few on hand. This is a 13x13cm square card so I needed to make an envelope to fit. You can see part of it behind the card.

MOJO #144

Mojo Monday sketch challenge #144, I chose to make a vintage style Wedding card using the masking technique. I really like masking it's the best way to use different stamp sets together.

The colour challenge at Just Add Ink this week was a huge challenge for me. Rich Razzelberry, Kiwi Kiss , Tempting Turquoise & Whisper White. Not a colour combination I would have thought of. The design teams projects are so inspirational I had to give it a try.

Exciting news, Julie is back online with her updated blog Stampin Up Jewls, it looks amazing. So head on over there to see what she has been up to, it's worth the visit.

My card today is a case from Shannon West (Stampin' Up! US head office). At convention Shannon showed us lots of great ways to use the Circle Scissor Plus and this was my favorite. I have only changed it a tiny bit.

The Circle Scissor Plus is a little tricky getting use to but once you have a play with it you will love it.

Tips for using Circle Scissor Plus:
1. I use Dotto repositionable adhesive to sick the card on the glass plate, that way the card won't slip around while cutting.
2. Don't press too hard while cutting. I find I get a better, smother cut if I use even pressure, not too hard.

Playgroup birthday cards.

Hi, hope you all had a great long weekend. I didn't get much stampin' done, I had a very busy social weekend, lots of fun and I did get my new blinds up on the windows. I did start working on a scrap page last night but haven't got it finished yet.

Today I have to show you some birthday cards I made for playgroup using the Lots of Bots stamp set in the Autumn-Winter mini. The design is quite simple but I love how these turned out. Now each child at will get a special birthday card from all there friends at playgroup.

Sunday Scrap.

Hi, today's Sunday Scrap page was inspired by the cute scrap page in the current Idea Book & Catalogue, page 42, featuring the stamp set Big Bold Birthday. I have kept the layout the same just changing the colours to suit the DSP Hand Drawn (level 3 hostess) which matches the photos perfectly. Alex was such a cutie when he was 3. I asked him what he wished for, but of course nearly 13 years later he can't remember. My guess is, to eat as much ice cream cake as he can.

Happy Birthday Margaret.

Yesterday was my good friend Margaret's birthday. She has a very special friendship with Zach my almost 3 year old, so Zach wanted to make a special card for her. I made the base for him and just let him go wild with punched out pieces. Zach had so much fun making this card. I think he is very artistic.

Just a short post today as it's my daughters 13th birthday today and we are heading out for dinner shortly. Part of her present is a girls only shopping spree at DFO tomorrow. I think I am more excited than she is.

Happy Birthday Julie.

It's Julie's birthday today, the first of four birthdays this week, all very special people to me. For Julie's card I've used the colours from Inkspirations Challenge #26, Basic Gray, Real Red, Kraft & Whisper White. Don't you love the scallop flower; they are popping up everywhere lately and so very easy to make. I stamped this flower with the Life Definitions stamp in Basic Gray. The leaf's are double punched with the scallop oval punch and after using a bone folder to make the veins I inked with a dauber so the veins would stand out a bit more.

Sunday Scrap.

Welcome to Sunday Scrap, I hope you are enjoying Sunday Scrap as much as I am. It's really helping me to get organized and get my Scrappin done. This week I have Scrapped a photo of Jamie when he was 4 years old. The fire department came to Playgroup for a visit in a fire truck. It was a day Jamie will never forget. My inspiration for this page came from the Spring 2010 issue of Scapbook Trends magazine, designer Kelly Noel. Everything on my page is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit Hoppy Memories, just added a couple of brads and rounded the corners of the DSP.

Pillow Box from Nicole.

Hi, I want to show you the cute Pillow Box I found on my pillow in my room at Convention. It was made for me by Nicole my roommate. Nicole is a brand new Demonstrator in Melbourne and is very excited about joining the Stampin' Up! family. We became good friends while at Convention and I can't wait to see her again at next years Convention. Making amazing friends was one thing I didn't except when I joined Stampin' Up! It truly is amazing that having a passion for paper craft can bring so many people together.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 19

Here is the other challenge I got to do on the weekend, it's a colour challenge over at Just Add Ink. The colours are Melon Mambo, Taken with Teal & Elegant Eggplant. Super bright colours but don't they look great together.

Using the Lots of Bots stamp set and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder. I have used the Scallop oval punch to make the Taken with Teal scallops around the main image. The Scallop Oval punch is one of the punches in this weeks Deal of the Week, on special for only $20.12 until the 8th June.

TESC #115

I managed to get a couple of challenges done on the weekend. This one is from Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #115. I have used the Pendant Park Stamp set in the Autum-Winter mini catalogue. Using the Thumping technique I leant from my good friend Mel a few years ago, I still love this technique.
